A lot of rudos winning on Kid’s Day. The main event sounds like the match you’d expect, which got a strong reaction with this crowd. Galllito & Microman dedicated their win to the children, Ephesto, Felino, and Luciferno made challenges, NGD talked about their win, and Caristico still wants that mask versus hair match with Ultimo Guerrero.

Standard stuff here. The lightning match was an added match.
This afternoon is the Lucha Memes/Mexa Wrestling “Battle of Naucalpan 1” show at Arena Naucalpan. The show has an eight-man tournament, as well as Bandido versus Ultimo Guerrero and Jonathan Gresham versus Virus dream matches. There are 12 scheduled matches and most everything figures to get a lot of time, so this might be a pretty long one. It also looks like the best independent show of the year. There’s always question marks about luchador making their scheduled bookings. This should could lose 2 or 3 matches and still be worth seeing. The tournament itself is totally up in the air, with most everyone having a reasonable case for winning.
This is the most expensive ticket for indie show of this type in memory, and probably the most expensive to put on. They’ve been pushing ticket sales hard, including offering a bus trip from Mexa Wrestling’s home base of Neza to Naucalpan. Everyone takes from everyone else in Mexico City indies, so there will probably be more attempts at shows like this if this works.
You will not be able to see it live unless you can make the trip to Naucalpan. It will not stream live on +LuchaTV and they’re asking fans not to film or stream it themselves. That’s standard policy in for most US groups but not in Mexico. I think everyone expects it to be posted by +LuchaTV eventually but no one’s said it will be and there’s no mention where that’ll happen.
I think I like Flamita beating Arez in the final of Battle of Naucalpan, mostly because it puts a MexaWrestling & Lucha Memes regular together. You can make your guess here.
On Twitter, Aerostar challenged Monster Clown to a mask versus mask match at the AAA MSG show. This seemed more definite than most mask match challenges. There are currently no matches announced for that show. No ticket prices either, though the tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Sunday. I’m skeptical an Aerostar versus Monsther Clown match, a feud AAA isn’t even pushing on their own TV tapings at the moment, will be selling any tickets to the MSG show but one match for the show is better than zero matches for the show. Monster/Aerostar has a better chance of featured prominently there than being grouped in TripleMania and it would show AAA has remembered to book matches for the show.
Friday’s AAA TV taping has postponed a basketball game scheduled for the Los Mochis arena.
Vampiro talked to TV & Notas about his medical situation. The timeline doesn’t quite seem to match up with his original statement but it is Vampiro. Vampiro says he’s still working for AAA, doing English announcing and occasional Spanish announcing from the US.
The Mexico City Lucha Libre commission is offering help for veteran luchadors with wheelchairs, canes, hearing aids, walkers and other injury treatment.

The Vegan Vampire has displayed signs of physical and mental deterioration for years. He must have a 40 inch waist line.
I’m going to contact members of the Paleo/Carnivore communities to show what a Vegan diet has done to Vamp.
If women aren’t in the main event on the AAA show at MSG, I’m going to SJW troll the fuck out of Konnan. What’s funny is that in Lucha Libre, women like Faby Apache and Sara Stock were legit main event box office stars without all the bullshit “glass ceiling”, “making history” political commentary to try and get them over. They just got over.
