What happened:
Nothing. I mean, the rudas won their match in straight falls, that’s close to something.
Thoughts:
I gave up on the semi-main when Vangellys missed his wheel kick to Flyer badly. First fall was all Ephesto/Blue Panther maestro mat work, they came back to it at the end and they might as well just do the match. Flyer is using armbars as finishes now but his flying to finish the match went fine.
Tiger/Audaz was an easy fun short match, the sort, the kind we expect Audaz to have all the time and that Tiger doesn’t get to have. Tiger gave Audaz a lot, both in taking his tricky moves but allowing Audaz to survive his bigger spots. The backcracker is usually the end in Audaz matches, so Audaz kicking out meant something to Tiger even if the crowd didn’t seem to recognize it. Audaz never looked inexperienced and some of that credit has to go to Tiger. Even the early wrestling section was a bit creative. This is his strongest singles outing in recent memory and hopefully gets another chance against a young flyer.
The creative effort was up in the tercera, but there were a number of spots that didn’t look well, and the end of the second fall was messed up by Tirantes being in his own world. It is hard to find the urgency to try new things when you don’t get great support at it and it’s simpler just to do the same things over and over even if it is boring. This paragraph is aware enough to know that it appears in a CMLL b-show review.
