I stalled on this trying to finish out 2018 for good. The 12/30 CMLL show is still to air on NJPW World on Friday morning. Maybe I’ll throw it in somehow, but I’m done. I’m free! (Or I’m behind in 2018 correct.) I’ll do a proper MOTYC post tomorrow so the Twitter lurkers know it exists, but you can just hit the link up there.
Caristico seems to have a ceiling at Great. That’s not a bad ceiling to have. His commitment to trying to give the people the Mistico they remember as best as can has kind of left him stuck in a premature nostalgia phase. He should still be evolving as a luchador but I don’t expect to get more than his greatest hits as interrupted by whoever he’s facing. Penta & Volador worked with him well over the last month.
Do you think AAA airs this taping on Space? I think this was a date they had agreed to long before they realized they’d never need it to air. I appreciate getting extra free shows but perhaps there’s a 2019 resolution around planning out their TV schedule better (or getting more time from Space?)
