The Costa Rican wrestlers have returned home. CMLL promoting an Okumura appearance in their promotion seems to indicate CMLL is happy with how it went.
CMLL looks back at Atlantis losing to Perro Aguayo in 2005 and Ultimo Guerrero defeating Johnny Stamboli in the 2006 Gran Prix.
AAA had a taping today. It was alright. It’s ok if I wait until tomorrow to write about it.
Impact’s episodes go up for free about 10 days after they air, which means today is the day you can watch the Hijo del Vikingo, Aerostar, and Laredo Kid vs OVE match from last week’s show for free. Entrances are about 2 minutes in. Didn’t ask me to log in or anything.
Beaumont Enterprise has a story of border wrestling promotion Laredo Wrestling Alliance, focusing on Daga & Laredo Kid having a match there this weekend. The match sounds good, and Daga does his new “I’m better than Pentagon & Fenix” spiel at the end. The news for us is Daga says he’s going to Dragon Gate in a couple weeks. Daga had mentioned he was touring Asia sometime this fall and had left it that, though word had filtered around that he’d be going to Dragon Gate. It hadn’t been on the record until now. I have a limited knowledge of Dragon Gate (based on some reading and zero watching), but it sounds like he might fit in with their rudo group. I suspect he’ll be over whenever Flamtia & Bandido go over next.
