CMLL (MON) 05/28/2018 Arena Puebla [CMLL, Lucha Central]
1) Espíritu Maligno & King Rocker b Meyer & Millenium
Rudos took 2/3. “King Boxer” was actually King Rocker and called such in the results.
2) Lestat, Oro Jr., Rey Samuray b Fuerza Chicana, Gemelo Pantera I, Gemelo Pantera II
Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Fuego, Pantera Blanca, Stigma b King Jaguar, Pólvora, Universo 2000 Jr.
King Jaguar replaced Dragon Rojo (car accident). Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto DQ Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón
straight falls, the last when Mephisto faked a foul.
5) Mistico, Soberano Jr., Volador Jr. b Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla
tecnicos took 2/3.
6) Último Guerrero b Terrible
UG took 2/3, the last by DQ when Terrible fouled UG for no real reason.
Show was fairly not good. The main event seemed disappointing and the fourth match wasn’t good.
Last Tuesday had the Stuka/UG show, so tonight’s Arena Mexico has nothing in particular going on. The card has a lot of matches that might be good, but also just might be walk thru. The main is Atlantis, Valiente, and Volador against Euforia, Gran Guerrero and Negro Casas . Stuka, Titan & Triton take on Ephesto, Felino and Luciferno on the semimain. Fuego and Virus have had good singles match before and might end up in the best match in the lightning match. The Panther family take on Polvora, Kawato and Dragon Rojo (assuming he’s fine after the accident; he said it wasn’t too serious.) Signo & Espanto, who need a bad team name, partner with Akuma against Pegasso, Star Jr. and Starman. Acero & Aereo open yet another Tuesday against Olimpico & Violencia.
Lucha Central has a preview of the show. The show will air at 7:30pm on CMLL’s YouTube channel.
In the comments, Carlos noticed that the Tiburon in the Dragon Scramble looked like a young wrestler and had a mask/gear design that matched Atlantis. (It didn’t appear to be the Tiburon from Veracruz who’s been wrestling in DTU.) It may be the Tiburon who’s debuting in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara in the semimain in this upcoming Sunday. I had this in mind while going thru posters this morning and came across shows in Toluca and New York where Atlantis is a headliner and a Tiburon happens to be wrestling in the undercard. I don’t know for certain if Tiburon is actually the future Atlantis Jr., but the setup looks a lot like you’d expect if he was quietly wrestling under a preliminary character to get ready for his debut.
Speaking of Atlantis, Solo Wrestling caught the broadcast of the ROH show in Doncaster, where they announced his and the rest of the CMLL guys matches for the Texas tour on June 16th & 17th. It’s not on ROH’s website yet. They’re wrestling as a trios both night:
- Atlantis, Stuka Jr. and Guerrero Maya vs The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan, Vinnie Marseglia) (c) for the ROH Trios championship
- Atlantis, Stuka Jr. and Guerrero Maya vs SoCalUncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky)
This is essentially Los Reyes del Atlantida with Stuka replacing Delta. Atlantis is not that Atlantis but these are Invasor or better level teams.
I assume first match is in San Antonio and the next is the next day in Dallas but it’s not specifically said in the post. It’s not impossible Atlantis and crew could win the ROH Trios titles and just lose them the next night.
Ricky Marvin was announced as returning to NOAH soon, probably July/August. Marvin left the promotion back in 2015, before joining AAA.
Flyer & Magnus are part of a blood drive.
Vampiro talked about violence in Juarez, told kids not to fall for false images and stories on social media. Hermes was remembered on that show.
+LuchTV has the latest edition of their podcast.
Puma & Barby’s latest video has them trying a spicy hamburger.
LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania.
Lost in Lucha reviews Sagrado, La Sombra, Volador Jr. vs Hijo del Fantasma, La Mascara and Valiente form 2008.
An interview with Monterrey luchador Potro Jr.
AAW on 08/30 has Mexa Blood (Flamita & Bandido) vs Fenix & Penta. That’s currently Flamita & Bandido’s first appearance as a tag team in the outside of PWG.
Lineups
IWRG (SUN) 06/03/2018 Arena Naucalpan
1) Shaolin vs Death Metal
2) Alas de Acero & Mexica vs Atomic Star & Gallo Frances
3) Aramis, Chico Che, Freelance vs Dragón Bane, Picudo Jr., Psycho Kid
4) Danny Casas, Hijo de Canis Lupus, Veneno vs Eterno, Ovett, X-Fly
5) Emperador Azteca & Imposible vs Cerebro Negro & Dr. Cerebro
6) Black Dragón vs Lunatik Extreme [hair]
Black Dragon is the favorite in that hair match.
Danny Casas is back for the first time in a while. IWRG’s YouTube channel has a new IWRG Noticias segment, hosted by Psycho Kid. He interviews the returning Psycho Kid. It’s very strange.
CMLL JABIL (SUN) 06/10/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Black Sugar, El Alteño, Mágico vs Gran Kenut, Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno
2) Lluvia, Mystique, Reyna Isis vs Chik Tormenta, La Comandante, Pantera
3) Ángel, Gallito Tapatío, Microman vs Átomo, Chamuel, Perico Zacarías
4) Blue Panther, Esfinge, Titán, Tritón vs Difunto, Frezzer, Furia Roja, Satánico
5) Blue Panther Jr., Carístico, The Panther vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón
This looks like a sponsored show. It’s also a noon show, so they might run twice on this day. It’s rare to see the Panther brothers in the main event; it’s a “Dia de la Familia” concept, so Blue Panther Sr. would make sense teaming with them. Maybe Caristico needs to be in the main event or Blue Sr. and Satanico want to be against each other.

I’ve only seen one Atomicos match in CMLL. Are they also 2 of 3 falls? I think this will be the 2nd one this year. Will this become a thing, so Familia Real can take on others until the Anniversary?
They’re also 2/3 falls, though it’s unlikely that one will be taped.
