“polemico” finish, with Imposible getting a visual pin when the ref was out and Azteca going on to win. First defense. The two agreed to keep teaming up after teh match.
6) El Hijo del Medico Asesino, Hijo De Dos Caras, Mr. Electro, Silver King DQ Jungle Boy, Migra, Ultimo Panda, Vapor Silver King, H de 2 Caras, Mr. Electro e H del Médico vs Vapor, Migra, Jungle Boy y Último Panda (posted by Estrellas del Ring)
Billed as Mexico vs Rest of the World. Team PWR walked out after their flag was messed up in the third fall, but the Mexicans brawled with them back to the ring. Vapor was DQed for fouling Silver King, and Silver King challenged for the PWR title.

I’m not sure I understand or have the main event finish right

Ultimo Guerrero has a shot to defeat two different heavyweight champions in one week. It starts tonight with his non-title match against Terrible, before Saturday’s Ring of Honor championship match. Guerrero has a slightly better chance of winning this one, coming off being fouled last week. These two have barely faced each other in singles matches because both have been rudos for most of their career. They ran into each other in a Leyenda de Azul tournament in 2006, and you’d have to go back to 2004 (and Terrible being a tecnico Guapo) to find a full length singles match between them. Guerrero is more used to fighting flyers, and neither of his opponents this week really fit that model, so this may be interesting to see how he adjusts.

Mistico, Soberano and Volador take on Cavernario, Felino, and Mr. Niebla in the semimain. The fourth match is a rematch between the NGD and Hijos del Infierno, which looks like it sets up a rudo/rudo title match next week. (Puebla gets more built up matches than Tuesday Arena Mexico for whatever reason.)

The Matamoros Panteras return in the undercard. Panther Blanca teams with Fuego & Stigma against Dragon Rojo, Polvora and Universo 2000 Jr., while the Gemelo Panteras partner with Fuerza Chicana against Lestat, Oro Jr., and Rey Samuary. This appears to be some barter deal where the Pantera gets booked on CMLL b-shows as part of them booking CMLL guys, but it’s unclear why it’s happening with these guys specifically. CMLL guys get booked in many other places and no one else is getting brought in.

The show opens with Meyer/Millenium vs Espiritu Maligno & King Rocker (who’s name is spelled King Boxer this week.) The Monday/Tuesday cards have been weak the last couple of weeks. This might be a little bit better. Lucha Central has a preview of the show. It airs at 9pm on CMLL’s YouTube channel.

5) Diamante Azul, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
6) Mistico & Rush vs Cuatrero & Sansón
La Bestia del Ring & Cien Caras will be seconds

Special Father’s day show, with two fathers as seconds in the main event. Non-title tag matches are very rare in CMLL and those matches never have seconds. CMLL would normally just put Bestia & Cien Caras in the ring to make it a trios, and this setup suggets they don’t feel comfortable putting Cien Caras in the ring.

La Guerrera may have been flipped to the ruda side for lack of numbers (Zeuxis.) Mistik is now “Mistique”, and maybe they’ll eventually go back to Mystique.

CMLL (SUN) 06/03/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino & Neutrón vs Gran Kenut & León Blanco
2) Principe Daniel, Rielero, Vaquero Jr. vs Exterminador, Maléfico, Ráfaga
3) Gallito Tapatío vs Perico Zacarías
4) Mágico vs Mr. Apolo [mask, hair]
5) Explosivo, Star Black, Tiburon vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón
6) Blue Panther, Esfinge, Joker, Magnum vs Difunto, Hechicero, Sádico, Satánico

More names than usual, maybe due to a different promoter. Joker & Sadico don’t get theri singels match but do get a min event. Gallo gets a singles match in his home arena. There’s a Jalisco indie TIburon so I’m guess he’s making an unexpected debut.

  1. I was looking at Black Terry Jr’s pics from the Dragonmania show, and Tiburon’s gear stood out to me. The design of the msdk around the eyes looks a little like Atlantis, and also the “T” symbol on the knee pads. He also looks very young. I wonder if it’s Atlantis Jr….

  2. A “Tiburon” is listed as working a show in the US with Atlantis and a bunch of other names, and it makes me think you might be onto something.
