What happened:

Último Guerrero and Stuka feuding all main event. Stuka pinned Guerrero to set up a title match next week.

Thoughts:

Retro belly to belly superplex

The semimain was the usual match with the guys involved. Titan taking out of everyone n the apron and getting dizzy on the Titanics is fun but I think I’ve seen it a lot of time. Triton might accidentally be getting elevated to team with his old partner, though it’s probably more a Tuesday numbers thing. The rudos were fine.

Polvora/Sagrado was a mixed bag. The chop exchange was good and the dive parts were fun, but other moments were sloppy. Sagrado’s sling blade looked messed up, the his missed springboard moonsualt didn’t actually seem to miss. This one had more energy than usual for these rudo battles without either either guy giving up their role, but it was still a little ways from good for me.

The women’s match is Zeuxis’ last CMLL Arena Mexico for now. She seemed to fade out in this one, not really getting in much of note outside of her corner knees. She did have some last few good exchanges with Sugehit. The match was pretty decent with the Princesa in it and not so much with the other two. Maligna is tentative for someone who’d been wrestling for a long time before coming to CMLL.

CMLL is not going to give Sangre Imperial & Espíritu Negro a feud, not any time soon. Life gave them a reason to feud – this is Espíritu Negro’s Arena Mexico return from getting his face broken by Sangre Imperial six months ago – and they decided to just pass. Espíritu mostly worked with Retro, they had a basic match, and they passed on a chance to make people to care about them. Retro’s suplexes in this one are the best things he’s done yet, but the highlights are enough for this one.
