tecnicos took 2/3.
Main event was good in the usual Ultimo Guerrero style.
Dr. Zavaleta says Magia Blanca suffered a strained knee ligament in his left knee, and will be re-examined today to see how bad it is. Esfinge wants another title shot, Ultimo Guerrero is happy to defend his title.
CMLL (TUE) 05/22/2018 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]

5) La Bestia Del Ring, Mr. Niebla, Terrible b Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Valiente
Angel de Oro, Niebla Roja & Mr. Niebla replaced Diamante Azul, Volador and Rush (flight delayed). Rudos took 1/3.
On Facebook, the arena posted a message before the show that Volador, Diamante Azul and Rush were missing the show due to flights being suspended in Mexico City during heavy rain. Flights weren’t suspended until 7pm for about two hours; those guys fly in really late. This is the third straight week Volador has missed the Tuesday night Guadalajara show.
Zorro’s KAOZ promotion had it’s debut show Sunday in Arena Coliseo Monterrey. The main event saw Ciberentico & Rush beat Bestia & Mesias after a foul and after the father & son didn’t really fight each other. Los Ingobernables (and later Mr. Iguana & Fresero Jr.) attacked Mesias, Ciberentico and Sharly Manson until Zorro (wearing a MAD shirt) made the save. Zorro formed a faction, el Kaos Klan, with those four guys. Next show date was not announced.
Also on Sunday, in Guatemala, Pirata Morgan lost his hair to forever big boss of Arena Guatemala Mexico, the masked Voltron.
A fan on Twitter asked Vampiro when we’d find out about the other two luchadors in the TripleMania Poker de Ases cage match. Vampiro wrote back June 5th. That’s two days after Verano de Escandalo, so it’s possible something will set it up on that Monterrey show. It’s AAA & Vampiro so it’s not a certainty, but that’s about when you’d expect them start the ramp up for TripleMania.
Microman talked to Excelsior about his start in lucha libre. His father did not want him to become a wrestler because of his size, but Microman was able to convince him (and his two brothers) and his father ended up helping train him.
Mamba & Keyra still really want a singles match. I still do not understand why but it seems important enough to them to show up in multiple promotions to tease it.
Mexa Wrestling on 06/09 in Arena San Juan
The full lineup isn’t out quite yet, but the top half of the poster includes Zeuxis.
DTU announced Shlak for their June tour.
El Siglo de Torreon has a story about the history of the Palacio de los Deportes building in the city. The first building of that name was built by 1940s Cuban baseball player turned wrestler Giraldo Hierro Riera, who built it when he was recovering from an injury. Medico Asesino, Polo Torres, Joe Marin and el Verdugo are mentioned as starting there. Unfortunately, that building burned down. Hierro Riera took out a loan to build a new Palacio, but could not pay the loan back. The bank took the arena, and it’s bounced around since – it was called the Auditorio JFO for a time, it was a school for time, and it was a lucha only arena much of the time.

CMLL (MON) 05/28/2018 Arena Puebla
1) Meyer & Millenium vs Espíritu Maligno & King Boxer
2) Lestat, Oro Jr., Rey Samuray vs Fuerza Chicana, Gemelo Pantera I, Gemelo Pantera II

5) Mistico, Soberano Jr., Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla
6) Último Guerrero vs Terrible
Terrible going for the moonsault is going to be wild. Fourth match is a rematch, and means a possible trios title match on 06/04. Or maybe Mephisto defending his singles title. Or maybe nothing at all – Mephisto is booked for Guatemala on 06/03 and Luciferno is headed to Torreon that weekend, so maybe they don’t make it back by Monday.
The Panteras are back (for some reason.) King Boxer is probably meant to be King Roker.
