Mexa Wrestling (SAT) 03/24/2018 Arena San Juan Pantitlan, Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México [+LuchaTV, Estrellas del Ring, the Gladiatores]
1) Torito Negro & Toro Negro b Judas el Traidor & Sobredosis
2) Centvrión b Diva Salvaje
Centvrion and Diva had to switch characters for the match.
3) Princesa Azul b Keyra
Azul (grand daughter of Anibal) appeared to ask for a chance. She got Keyra and lost. Star Fire attacked Keyra post match and unmasked her.
4) Aramis b Toxin, Moria, Séptimo Dragón, Látigo [THE CRASH JUNIOR, #1 Contenders]
Latigo replaced Fly Warrior. This was advertised as getting a shot at the Cruiserweight championshi, but they meant the Junior championship, currently held by Astrolux.
5) Atomic Star, Metaleón, Rafy b Fly Star, Fulgor I, Fulgor II
Toxin Boy attacked Fly Star so they’re back to not being friends.
6) Eterno & Ricky Marvin b Belial & Impulso and Astrolux & Freelance
Astrolux replaced Mike Segura. After this match, la Nueva Hermandad Klandestina (Yoruba, Danger, Lokillus, and Sadico) was formed.
7) Felino & Mr. Niebla DQ Corsario Negro Jr. & Drako
Niebla fouled Drako and faked a foul to draw the DQ.
The Gladiatores recap is high on the three way tag, and I’ve heard the five way match was worth going out of your way to watch as well. Turnout maybe was a little bit better this time?
Aramis versus Astrolux is not an impressive as Aramis getting a shot against Fenix, but Aramis versus Astrolux should still be pretty good.
IWRG (SUN) 03/25/2018 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Dragón Bane b Toto
2) Lilith Dark & Star Fire b Dulce Luna & Lady Pink
3) Emperador Azteca & Imposible b Gallo Frances & Séptimo Dragón
Emperador Azteca asked Imposible to team with him again next week versus AAA luchadors.
4) Ovett, Trauma I, Trauma II DQ Mike, Rafy, Teelo and Factor, Spartan, Spector and Capo Del Norte, Capo Del Sur, El Hijo del Medico Asesino
the Comando Elite were DQed.
5) Hijo del Alebrije b Máscara Año 2000 Jr. © [IWRG JUNIORS]
first defense (won title in September)
6) Ricky Marvin b Dr. Cerebro [hair]
The hair match was said to be short but good. Alebrije winning a title is an improvement.
Tonight’s Puebla show has Caristico, Gran Guerrero, Ultimo Guerrero taking on Mistico, Valiente and Volador. The poster art and social media is pushing this as Caristico versus Mistico. The match itself had all the finishes involving Mistico & Gran Guerrero. One of those is a slightly bigger deal than the others. I suppose it’s possible CMLL could change their mind next week, though it’s more likely to end up a trios title match than the match they keep teasing.
Dragon Lee returns from LA to team with Matt Taven & Niebla Roja against the not-TGR team of Rey Bucanero, Shocker and Terrible. Angel de Oro, Esfinge and Stigma face Mascara 2000, Universo 2000 Jr. and Polvora. Signo, Metalico and Policeman wrestle Electrico, Millenium and Rey Samuray – will Samuray nail his spot this week? Black Tiger, Centella Roja, Meyer open up against Espiritu Maligno, Fuerza Chicana and Sombra Diabolika.
This is still a 10pm CT show in Daylight savings – but we’re down to the last week of this. The schedule returns to normal next week.
Meanwhile, some of AAA is in Nuevo Laredo’s Arena Cuatro Caminos for the regular spot show there. It’s notable because Vampiro is scheduled to team with Pagano against Joe Lider & Mr. Aguila and, if he’s actually serious about cutting back his wrestling, it would be his last match for the time being. Drago & Fantasma are in the semimain against Laredo Kid & the Tiger. I do not see any other AAA related shows until Friday, so everyone in that group a needed break for a few days.
The Maxilar show in Tijuana on Friday did not draw well. Around 40% full, guessing from the pictures. Only The Crash seems to be doing well in the city right now, though AAA figures to do well with their taping on 04/20. The Maxilar main event was Silver King & a Hijo del Silver King versus Octagon & Hijo del Octagon, with the idea that Octagon’s fame from his recent reality show appearance would make him a draw. That doesn’t seem to have happened (though that wasn’t a strong main event anyway.)
Rey Mysterio appeared on the NJPW last night, apologizing for being unable to wrestle. The post match set up a match between him and Will Ospreay at that point, while still possibly doing the original match with Jushin Lyger later. It’s likely one of those matches will take place on July 7th, when NJPW runs the Cow Palace in San Francisco.
Dragon Lee’s side lost their match on the show. He may also be on that 07/07 NJPW show; he’s the first person advertised on the King of the Indies tournament in the area the night before.
Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix are said to be part of the roster for MLW’s upcoming TV show on US channel beIN Sports. The show starts on 04/20, the two are on their 04/12 taping, so they probably won’t be showing up for a while. That article says MLW made a deal with both LU & AAA to use those wrestlers. That makes sense, MLW is run by Court Bauer, who was working with AAA before this project. It is strange Pentagon’s using his AAA name and Rey Fenix is not, maybe that’s just a preference thing.
Mil Muertes is advertised as appearing on the GALLI show on 04/15. That’s his first post-AAA booking I’ve seen. His press conference is tomorrow.
It looks like The Crash is running Penta vs LA Park vs Blue Demon on 04/28.

Lineups
CMLL (SAT) 03/31/2018 Arena Coliseo
1) Angélico & Último Dragóncito vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia
2) Retro, Robin, Sangre Imperial vs Camorra, Cholo, Príncipe Odín Jr.
3) Magia Blanca, Oro Jr., Star Jr. vs Hijo del Signo, Nitro, Templario
4) La Vaquerita vs Metálica [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Stuka Jr., Titán vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Felino, Luciferno
6) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Rush vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
CMLL’s weird booking of Rush means he can call Diamante Azul a dummy on one day and team with him the next.
I kind of want to see Vaquerita & Metalica, even though I’d bet they had that match on the indies like three years ago and I didn’t watch it then.
