Rudos took 1/3. Rush pulled out Tirantes when UG had Mistico pinned, so UG just unmasked Mistico and pinned him immediately after anyway.

I haven’t seen this one yet. The main event ended with Ultimo Guerrero and Mistico agreeing to a singles match next week. They won’t be having a singles match next week, but maybe the one after that. The only things I heard about this one was Cometa/Forastero was good and not to watch the show entirely. I probably will watch the show.

Today’s Lucha Underground episode is 3×30, “Bloodlines”. Matches announced for the show

No one has any Medalions; Mundo cashed in the Gift of the Gods belts to beat Sexy Star and then there were tournaments and they’re just getting back to it now. I wrote Jack Evans was on the team, but they did say it was Ricky. It means either Ricky finally wins or the Rabbit Tribe finally wins.

The two quarterfinal winners meet in their semifinal next week, as do Fenix & Prince Puma. Roku is offering a free month of Lucha Underground via DirectTVNow.

Leo Riano says the current plan is to air Psycho Clown vs Dr. Wagner Jr. on Televisa’s channel 5 after Mayweather/McGregor. Riano goes on to talk about how great this is while ignoring that he’s been hyping up the entire TripleMania show airing on Televisa; it sounds like only the one match is going to air as a plan to keep people tuned in a while longer.

Airing that match on TV would give great attention for AAA, but would also make those PPVs a tougher sell. The show has been built on one match, and if that match is going to air on TV (likely on a few hour delay), people will be persuaded just to watch that one match. AAA probably should be making announcement sometime in the next week or so, and we’ll actually know what’s going on then.

The really important news is Riano’s calling the boxing match so we won’t have to hear him on TripleMania. Hooray.

Konnan put up a new edition of Podcast Boom. He says Rey Horus no-showed The Crash over being booked in a second match, which was the rumor going around about Horus splitting up with the promotion. Horus is a Tijuana based guy and was being booked in main events before being in The Crash, and I’d guess some other promoter convinced him he’d get to be in main events again if he left. Konnan announced LAX will be facing OVE (the GFW/Impact gimmicks for the Crist Brothers) and a local team for GFW Tag Titles on the 09/02 show. Low Ki & Shane Strickland will also be on those shows, so they are able to find outsiders even with BOLA on. He also says Zorro is still with them, but out injured, and NOAH’s contacted Rey Fenix & Garza Jr.

Cholo de Tijuana’s shows on 08/17 in Ensenanda and 08/18 in Tijuana have been canceled.

EN+CARADOS #35 has Hip Hop Man & Emperador Azteca on, plus MDA & The Crash reports.

The latest episode of Lucha Talk is up.

Lineup

CMLL (MON) 08/14/2017 Arena Puebla
1) Millenium & París vs Centella Roja & Hijo de Centella Roja
2) Espíritu Maligno & Lestat vs Disturbio & Metálico
3) Princesa Sugehit © vs Zeuxis [MEX WOMEN]
3rd defense
4) Blue Panther Jr., Soberano Jr., The Panther vs Kráneo, Morphosis, Olímpico
5) Ángel de Oro, Johnny Idol, Niebla Roja vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Sam Adonis
6) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Mistico vs Diamante Azul, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero

Main event is a rematch.

Sugehit/Zeuxis will be good. It’s the third straight defense for Sugehit against Zeuxis (including the last defense, in this same arena), and the four title matches before that were Zeuxis defending against Sugehit, so they’re really running the same matches seven straight times. It’ll also be Zeuxis’ second title match in two days because coordination is over rated.

CMLL (TUE) 08/15/2017 Arena México
1) Fiero & Retro vs Apocalipsis & Inquisidor
2) Metatrón, Oro Jr., Star Jr. vs Canelo Casas, Nitro, Sangre Azteca
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Johnny Idol, Rey Cometa vs Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Virus
4) Drone vs Puma [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Carístico, Titán vs Luciferno, Mr. Niebla, Pierroth
6) Mistico, Rush, Valiente vs Cavernario, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero

Main event is a rematch. Drone/Puma should be fun, because it was fun when they did the same match just a few weeks ago.

Box Y Lucha published an interview with El Consejo, with the pretense of explaining why he changed names but never really doing and it doesn’t really matter, because he’s back being Nitro until the next time a trademark needs to be serviced.

CMLL (TUE) 08/15/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Magnum & Micro vs Difunto & Furia Roja
2) Lady Maravilla, Silueta, Skadi vs Dalys, La Comandante, La Seductora
3) Blue Panther Jr., Esfinge, Fuego vs Hechicero, Tiger, Universo 2000 Jr.
4) Dragón Lee, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. vs Felino, Shocker, Terrible
5) Diamante Azul vs Euforia

CMLL can’t remember to have Diamante Azul defend his title, even though he’s surely going to win anyway. Universo 2000 Jr. is back after about 6 weeks out with a shoulder injury. Maravilla is getting steady bookings for a new comer (though maybe Jarochita not being around is part of it.)

Super Astro (FRI) 08/18/2017 Arena Naucalpan
1) Astrolux, Hijo del Alebrije, Pegazus vs Demonio Infernal, Kamikaze, Kratoz
2) Cinthia Moreno, Diva Salvaje, Lady Apache, Taylor Wolf vs Cerebro Negro, Demasiado, Muñeca De Plata, Rossy Moreno
3) Boby Zavala, Epydemius, Eterno vs Demus 3:16, Dr. Karonte Jr., Fishman Jr.
4) Aeroboy, Extreme Tiger, Golden Magic vs Jack Evans, Séptimo Dragón, Último Ninja
5) Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Oriental, X-Fly vs Antifaz del Norte, Fresero Jr., Mr. Águila
6) Ciclón Ramírez, El Bandido, Emperador Azteca vs Imposible, Metaleón, Templario
7) Dark Ozz, Dark Spíritu, Hijo De Dos Caras vs Silver King, Trauma I, Trauma II
8) Rey Escorpión & Sharly Rockstar vs Cibernético & Hijo de LA Park and Máximo & Mr. Electro
9) La Máscara & Rey Fénix (US) vs Daga & LA Park and Hernandez & Zorro

56 luchadors on the show, plus Mr. Niebla signing autographs before the show. Hernandez & Zorro used to be friends in AAA, I don’t know why I remember that.

DTU XLAW (SAT) 08/26/2017 Autolavado VM, Tulancingo, Hidalgo
1) Erwing & Irving vs Masizito & The Black
2) Drolux, Hard Boy, Paranoiko vs Crazy Boy, Devitt Rodrigeuz, Toto
3) Kevin vs MoriaLokill
4) Cobre vs Drastik Boy
5) Hormiga © vs Camuflaje
6) Exotico, Jimmy, Ovett vs Gio, Halloween, Junior

DTU & X-LAW at the carwash (so there’s a chance we’ll see it.) Cobre gets a big match with Drastick Boy.
