CMLL (FRI) 02/06 Arena Mexico
1) Molotov & Sensei vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata, Metálico vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Loco Max
3) Astro Boy vs Calígula [lightning]
4) Bam Bam, Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito vs Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
5) Misterioso II, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero vs Terrible, Villano III, Villano V
6) La Sombra, Místico, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Mr. Niebla is still scheduled to wrestle tonight, after getting into a car accident yesterday. Both Ovaciones and ESTO say Niebla was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but later released. The story of this match is the tecnicos trying to avenge last weke’s main event rematch.
Perhaps the bigger events tonight are in Guadalajara. The Perros and CMLL are running shows tonight against each other.
CMLL (FRI) 02/06 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Metal Blanco & Metatron vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
2) Boomerang, Meteoro, Virgo vs Mr. Aguilita, Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Halloween
3) Mascara Dorada & Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto & Mephisto
4) Máximo, Sagrado, Shocker vs Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Sangre Azteca
5) Dark Angel vs Marcela, Lady Apache, Amapola, Mima Shimoda, Sahori, Princesa Blanca, Goddess, Hiroka, Medussa, La Nazi [cage, hair]
Loaded up card, though not as much as the first show against the Perros here. I figure the main event breaks down this way
Completely Safe: Dark Angel, Marcela, Lady Apache, Amapola, Princesa Blanca
Possible: Mima Shimoda, Sahori, Goddess, Hiroka, Medussa, La Nazi
I’m still leaning towards La Nazi, but it could be any one of those six.

Perros del Mal (FRI) 02/06 Coliseo Olimpico Universidad de Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco
1) Olímpico vs X-Fly, Súper Nova, Payasho Luchin, Asesino Negro Jr., Flash I [hair, mask]
2) Damián 666 & Mr. Águila vs Juventud Guerrera & Super Crazy
3) Cibernetico, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park vs Dr. Wagner Jr., Intocable, Rayman
I’m guessing it’s one of the locals losing here. And a DQ in the main event, of course.

Imagine one moment, only one second, that X-Fly loses his hair again… Wow, sounds amazing and laughable
He probably will and the ByL forum will continue to talk about AAA/CMLL having awful finishes and begging “los independientes” to return.
I am going to laugh so hard when results come in and we see they couldn’t even get Rayman to job in that main event. It’s like anyone who gets added to a match with Wagner or Perrito suddenly gets a case of Idontwannajob-itis.
ByL board says La Medusa lost her hair to Princesa Blanca.
I took a friend to Arena Mexico tonight, so here are some quick notes. Arena was maybe half full. Upper deck was empty, we were in the second tier which was pretty full. The ends of the lower deck were pretty sparsely seated. Probably a few rows of people behind the announcers and then empty.
CMLL (FRI) 02/06 Arena Mexico
1) Molotov & Sensei vs Artillero & Súper Comando-missed this while wandering around outside so my friend could pick out masks.
2) Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata, Metálico vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Loco Max-tecnicos win.
3) Astro Boy vs Calígula [lightning]-Astro Boy wins bringing the run of Rudo lightning wins to a halt.
4) Bam Bam, Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito vs Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito-Tecnicos win. Dorada rocked a spectacular zebra striped coat and pants to the ring. Scary moment toward the end of the first fall when Pierrothito backdrops Warrior over the top rope and Bam Bam isn’t able to get in to make the catch. Warrior managed to tuck his head in and land on his back, but still hit hard. Couldn’t tell from where I was sitting if Pierrothito didn’t get him tossed far enough or if Bam Bam just didn’t move in fast enough to catch him. Warrior was back in for the second fall, but moving slowly for a while.
5) Misterioso II, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero vs Terrible, Villano III, Villano V-Rudos win in straight falls by DQ in both falls. Guerror ripped off Villano V’s mask in the first fall. Blue Panther ran in in street clothes and low blowed (not sure if that is a very good term) Villano III in the second while the Rudos were working on tearing Guerrero’s mask. Panther challenges III to a hair match, V challenges Panther to a mask/hair match, and Guerrero comes up with the ultimate solution of a tag hair/mask match between he and Panther and Villano III/V. This seems to be accepted (I’m assuming for Dos Leyandas?) and the two sides brawled up the ramp. Bucanero looked kind of lost and confused since Panther had taken his place in the brawl, so Rey just kind of played to the fans and then snuck backstage while the others fought.
6) La Sombra, Místico, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas-Rudos win. Heavy Metal replaces Niebla. Atlantis wins the first fall with la atlantida on Mistico. Mistico wins the second with la mistica on Atlantis. Casas and Metal beat the tag champs in the final fall and issue a challenge for the belts. I believe Sambra and Valador may have then issued a belts vs hair challenge, but it wasn’t clear if any of this was actually going anywhere or if it was talk for the time being.
Not a bad show, but nothing too spectacular. The minis were solid as always. It was good to see some progress in the Laguneros/Villanos story, and maybe see where it is headed now. Main event tecnico trios hit all their spots and still looked good even as their win streak came to an end. Hopefully CMLL doesn’t do something stupid and pull the titles off Volador and Sambra in their first defense.
@Alan: “Hopefully CMLL doesn’t do something stupid and pull the titles off Volador and Sambra in their first defense.”
AMEN.
Thanks for the results. It’s much appreciated since the usual post-show results go up on CMLLOficial.hi5.com which as Cubs pointed out to me earlier is now set to private for some unknown reason.
I hope they do run with Guerrero/Panther vs Villanos for the Dos Leyendas main event. It’s probably the strongest match they can do right now without blowing their load on Mistico in a mask match or taking Niebla’s hood (which won’t survive 2009).
Looking forward to seeing at least the top three on TV tomorrow afternoon.
Alan:
You should make yourself known when you attend shows. Tell them you are a foriegner who is a big fan of CMLL. It might get you on the “invitado especial” segment they do every week. Back in 1998 there was a European guy I knew online and they put him on TV just b/c he ID’ed himself as a European visiting Mexico to see Lucha Libre.
