Rematch from last week. Team Volador snuck in the ring and attacked the opposition, leading to the first fall win. Atlantis won the second, then Rush fouled Atlantis which somehow gave his team the DQ win. Atlantis & Rush agreed to a singles match (Atlantis challenged Rush to a match, and Rush & Mascara beat up Atlantis all over again.)

The apuesta match if not exactly greatly worked. (Policeman gave Espiritu Maligno took a powerbomb on the floor, then Espiritu just got in all the offense leading to the win.) Attendance seemed way up for the show. Main event really wasn’t much and probably shouldn’t have been the main event.

Atlantis is going to be main eventing with a single match on Friday, main event with a singles match on Monday, and also main eventing an iPPV in California on a Saturday and headlining a show in Oaxaca on Sunday. CMLL would’ve been better spreading out the singles matches a bit better.

Tonight’s CMLL show has Black Terry & Negro Navarro defending the Arena Coliseo tag team championship in Arena Mexico against Blue Panther & The Panther. Terry & Navarro wrestled their style of match instead of something looking more like a CMLL match, and it’ll be a very different title match than we’re used to seeing on CMLL streams if it plays out the same way tonight. I think there’s probably more run for Terry & Navarro as champ (and no real reason for CMLL to have more belts), and a title change is unlikely. Blue Panther’s good at making it dramatic either way.

The rest of the CMLL card is normal, with decent to good stuff up top and two matches few will get anything out to start. The openers are Bengala & Flyer versus Akuma & Metalico, and the short trio of Astral & Principe Diamante & Stigma against Disturbio, Raziel and Sangre Azteca. The rudos are incredible favorites in that second match. Princesa Sugehit and Zeuxis continue their feud in a lightning match and the Revolucionarios face Fuego, Maya & Titan, both of which should be entertaining if repeated matches. Maximo, Valiente & Volador Jr. take on Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, and Terrible in the main event.

The show will air 7:30 pm, on CMLL’s YouTube channel.

Guadalajara has Dragon Lee versus Negro Casas and Pachuca has Aeroboy vs Penta El Zero M, both of matches which probably should be sold somewhere but probably won’t be.

Blue Panther says there’s no idols in CMLL, no singular stars that draw people in and that now it takes a lot of names to get people to come. He may not be wrong, but I don’t think people were coming to see Rene Guajardo alone, but Rene Guajardo and who he was wrestling. Those cards were loaded with names.

CMLL’s lineups list Sam Adonis in Ephesto’s place on Friday’s tercera. Ephesto must still not be cleared to return.

Mr. Aguila paid tribute to Fishman with his face paint design.

Black Kato & Hades defeated Comandante R2 & Cosaco Loco for their masks in Puebla.

FULL says they’ll announce a replacement for Drew Galloway (who’s back in WWE) on their May shows sometime next week. It’s said to be a former WWE champion. Carlito and Alberto teased a match on The Crash show, so Carlito would be the most likely answer.

Mesias is wrestling in GALLI on Sunday April 23rd. That’s the night after Mil Muertes is wrestling in AAW, so they must be splitting his weekend.

ChilangaMask posted their full card for 05/07 in Berwyn (which is spelled wrong on the poster.)

RIOT announced their next show is May 20th.

Ray Gonzalez will represent WWC at the 08/20 combination tryout with AAA in New York.
