The Crash debuts in CDMX tonight, Navarro/Terry vs Panthers, Mamba/Pimpi hair match?

tonight

CMLL (SUN) 04/02/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Domingos Familiares]
1) Micro ?? Destructor
match skipped in results
2) El Yaqui & Javier Cruz Jr. b Demonio Rojo & Thunder Boy
3) Linterna & Mr. Brisa b Fantástico & Tigre Blanco
Lintera beat Tigre Blanco to set up a title match next week
4) Flash II, Mágico, Neutrón b Évola, León Blanco, Pitbull I
5) Metatrón, Smaker, Vaquero Jr. b Joker, Ráfaga, Sádico
Gallito was with the tecnicos. Straight falls, first by excessive violence DQ and second fall by Smaker beating Sadico.

Gallito is just random tecnicos and Gallo is working the Jalisco indie shows, so there must’ve been another fall out. Gallo hasn’t been around since the end of February.

CMLL (TUE) 04/04/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Arena Coliseo Guadalajara]
1) Exterminador & Maléfico b El Divino & Explosivo
2) Robin, Star Black, Star Jr. b Arkángel de la Muerte, Canelo Casas, Furia Roja
3) Soberano Jr., Tritón, Vaquero b Disturbio, Misterioso Jr., Sagrado
Vaquero replaced Esfinge.
4) Ángel de Oro, Esfinge, Titán b Bobby Villa, Luciferno, Pólvora
Esfinge replaced Johnny Idol.
5) Atlantis, Dragón Lee, Volador Jr. DQ Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Negro Casas unmasked Dragon Lee for the DQ. Challenges followed for next week.

No idea why the feud changed from Dragon Lee to Volador; maybe Volador had to be in Mexico City instead for some reason.

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara posted one of the finishes from the tercera. It appears to be Triton’s last match in Mexico until December, as he’s heading to Chicago for the next few months. Also, this is a thing I didn’t know: the cost to take lucha libre classes in Guadalajara is 300 pesos. That’s only $16 USD, so a full year costs less than a Vampiro tryout. I have no interest in being a luchador and I’d still want to take classes at that price.

CMLL (TUE) 04/04/2017 Arena México [CMLL]
1) Flyer & Sensei b Camorra & Espanto Jr. LUCHA LIBRE MARTES DE NUEVOS VALORES EN LA ARENA MEXICO 4 DE ABRIL DEL 2017 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
2) Eléctrico, Fantasy, Shockercito b Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito LUCHA LIBRE MARTES DE NUEVOS VALORES EN LA ARENA MEXICO 4 DE ABRIL DEL 2017 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)

4) Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther b Black Terry, Negro Navarro, Sangre Azteca LUCHA LIBRE MARTES DE NUEVOS VALORES EN LA ARENA MEXICO 4 DE ABRIL DEL 2017 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
Panthers took 2/3, and asked for a titles shot. Navarro & Terry accepted.
5) Guerrero Maya Jr., Máximo Sexy, Rey Cometa b Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys LUCHA LIBRE MARTES DE NUEVOS VALORES EN LA ARENA MEXICO 4 DE ABRIL DEL 2017 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
6) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Valiente DQ La Máscara, Pierroth, Rush LUCHA LIBRE MARTES DE NUEVOS VALORES EN LA ARENA MEXICO 4 DE ABRIL DEL 2017 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
Pierroth fouled Valiente, unmasked him, and the Ingobernables stomped Tirantes for the DQ.

Main event appears to set up Pierroth/Valiente, which is a terrible idea for a feud on it’s own, a depressing waste of time when there’s better matches being made on every other show, and a bizarre choice 40s vs 40s? singles match as the main event for a show named Nuevo Valores. It’s one of the most idiotic things I can imagine. Hopefully they’ll just as randomly change it next week.

Panthers/Maestros seemed good from what I saw, with more care put into the match than usual Tuesday matches, and the crowd got into it. They should do well next week. Los Ingobernables crashed Terry & Navarro’s post match interview, which seems like the kind of match which might take place on a Lucha Memes show and not a CMLL one, and Rush did mention he’s coming to Arena Naucalpan later this month.

CMLL says the Reyes del Aire will return to a normal cibernetico format (with a seeding battle royal) and go to there’s only one winner. That’s a change from last year’s one year experiment with holding off the final two until the following week.

Super Porky, who had some shows honoring him last week, says he’s gone from 151 kg (33lb) to 111 kg (244 lb) and plans to return to the ring. It sounds like he still needs work on his leg, but thinks he’ll check in with CMLL in three months to see how close he is to getting back to Arena Mexico. Porky says he expects to be 100% to return the ring.

Porky ends the interview by saying Psycho Clown & Goya Kong resolved their issues and aren’t against each other yet. That storyline was quietly dropped after it happened (but then, it might have been dropped like everything else by now anyway.)

The Nib has a cartoon strip on Sam Adonis. All we need now is a song and I think he’ll have crossed all media types.  Adonis is on Informa today.

The Crash makes it’s Mexico City debut tonight in Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera. It’s easier just to post the card again instead of running the matches.

The Crash (WED) 04/05/2017 Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera, Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal
1) Arkángel Divino, Black Boy (Baja California), Zumbi vs Astrolux, Black Danger (Baja California), Último Maldito
2) Sexy Dulce © vs Keira, Santana Garrett, Lady Maravilla, Candy White, Laurel Van Ness [The Crash WOMEN]
3) Rey Horuz vs Laredo Kid, Mr. 450, Séptimo Dragón, Último Ninja, DJZ [#1 Contenders, The Crash CRUISER]
4) Jack Evans, Máscarita Dorada, Willie Mack vs ACH, Bestia 666, Black Tauro (Elite)
5) Daga vs Sami Callihan vs AR Fox vs Extreme Tiger
6) Blue Demon, Brian Cage, Garza Jr. vs Bobby Lashley, Carlito, Jeff Cobb
7) Penta Zero M, Rey Fénix, Rey Mysterio 619 vs Cody Rhodes, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Matt Sydal

So many names – Alberto el Patron and Octagon will also be appearing beside the matches. So few storylines. I think the semimain focuses on the Garza Jr./Lashely thing, and maybe the title matches are going somewhere (but I’m not sure the titles mean all that much here.)  There’s no ticket update; the website says they’re only sold at the venue this close. They wanted to sell out, not just to reduce their losses on running this show, but outdo AAA in their home building, and I’m not sure they’re going to do that.

There’s no sign of this show being made officially available – FiteTV teased the idea of future The Crash shows maybe airing on their service, but nothing tonight. (There’s be plenty of services willing to stream the show, it’s the cost, logistics and legality of doing it which are the issues.) It’s Mexico City, so every website and Facebook account that follows wrestling will be streaming someone’s cell phone video and uploading things to YouTube the next few days, but it’s not quite as good as getting an actual steady camera. This is a big show for the business of lucha libre in Mexico, but not really as big a deal for people who like to watch big names in big matches, since that’s going to be some level of a nuisance unless you’re there. You should go if you can, but I suspect most people reading this can’t.

+LuchaTV has video of The Crash press conference, the Gladiatores has photos and SuperLuchas has a transcript of the wrestler’s quotes. Nothing big was said, just usual stuff to fire people up. Misterio said 80% of the wrestlers on today’s show were already there yesterday, and that sure seemed to be the case. There were a lot of press there, and hopefully it gets them attention for the show. The only references to AAA were implied mentions of other places. I still suspect they’ll do something to get at AAA tonight, but it may just be a minor deal.

Sexy Dulce did not appear to be at the press conference. I assume she’s not wrestling. I don’t know if that makes a difference either way.

Local Ciudad Juarez advertisements are mentioning a Mamba/Pimpinela Escarlata hair match for Verano de Escandalo. It makes sense locally, the two had a bull terrier match on TV last time they taped in Juarez, and a cage match back in March in the same building. It doesn’t really fit much with any TV build, except for Mamba attacking Pimpinela at Rey de Reyes, and AAA’s not very consistent about things right now.

AAA has an interview with Lady Shani which explains away her being a tecnica in Neza: it was another one of Vampiro’s decisions, Shani is OK with it because she wants to prove she’s the best, but she’s prefers to be a ruda. It still comes off as a very tecnica interview.

AAA’s posted week 2 of Zona Ruda, which includes an interview with Ayako Hamada.

Wrestling With Words reviews this past Friday’s CMLL show.

Hetzza debuts in Stardom on April 9th. People who watch Stardom are going to have seen a lot more of her than we are; I don’t have a single video of a match with her in the database. I’m sure they’re on there somewhere, but this is obscure.

Generacion 21 & IAP have a show in Irapuato on 05/08. Zorro, Daga, Garza Jr. versus Cibernetico, Sharlie Rockstar, Black Taurus in the main event, and the Traumas vs Lucha Brothers vs Cosrario Negro/Drako vs X-Dance & Crazy Latino from Queretaro.

LuchaWorld has the latest Lucha Report.

8) Centvrión, Fly Warrior, Látigo vs Baku, DJZ, Metaleón
XMW match

Final lineup for LuchaRama show this weekend, which looks more like a conventional show than past year’s 20+ matches. In a dream world, this show would air live on Powerbomb.TV, it’s the most Powerbomb.TV show there is.

CMLL (TUE) 04/11/2017 Arena México
1) Bengala & Flyer vs Akuma & Metálico
2) Astral, Príncipe Diamante, Stigma vs Disturbio, Raziel, Sangre Azteca
3) Princesa Sugehit vs Zeuxis [lightning]
4) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., Titán vs Bobby Villa, Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora
5) Black Terry & Negro Navarro © vs Blue Panther Jr. & The Panther [Arena Coliseo TAG]
3rd defense
6) Máximo Sexy, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Terrible

There’s a really good middle here. The fourth match should be good, the fifth match is part of the secret plan to the The Panther into a backup Blue Panther Sr. should the original not be available when Daniel Bryan is free (shh, don’t tell anyone the secret), and Sugehit/Zeuxis has been reliably good. Still no idea if that’s going to the mask match.

CMLL (TUE) 04/11/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Fantástico & Magnum vs Linterna & Mr. Apolo
2) Esfinge, Pegasso, Starman vs Puma, Tiger, Virus
3) Johnny Idol, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
4) Dragón Lee vs Negro Casas
5) Atlantis, Carístico, Diamante Azul vs La Máscara, Pierroth, Rush

They’re doing Dragon Lee versus Negro Casas, they’re going to have it on tape, it’s never going to put online, and it’s not even the Dragon Lee singles match I’m angry about right now, what a world.

Not sure if Ephesto will be back then. Not sure if Idol will be either after missing this show.

KDR (SAT) 04/29/2017 Gimnasio Hercules, Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal
1) Dr. Siniestro & Tauro vs Genex & Príncipe Aéreo
2) Tromba vs Coco Dark
3) Rayo Star & Toxin vs Ciclón Black & Solaris and Lunatik Extreme & Lunatik Fly
4) Corsario Negro & Drako vs Dr. Cerebro & Heddi Karaoui
5) Mr. Leo vs ?, Centurion, Freelance [Kamicaze Universal, torneo]

Kamicazes del Ring next show appears to be starting a title tournament.
