Recapped: 11/19/2016
What happened: Pólvora beat Dragon Lee to set up a title shot next week. Pequeño Joker beat Astral to win a cibernetico, which may yet set up a title shot. Rush had his last match before heading to Japan for a while, though that wasn’t acknowledged.
What was good: The cibernetico’s totally watchable. Nothing else you need to see.
Where can I watch it: It’s on CMLL’s channel.

Winner: rudos (1/3)
Match Time: 13:19
Notes: The Tigers royally screw up a team monkey flip spot (see GIF), seemingly because they have no footing – they’re both slipping around after. It appears like the Cancerberos decide to change the finish of the fall right then and take it instead, with the fall going longer than probably planned.
Match 3: Astral vs Astro, Shockercito, Último Dragóncito, Vega, Demus 3:16, Espíritu Maligno, Mini Joker, Pequeño Nitro, Saurón in a cibernetico match

- Joker Driver on Astral (21:06)
Winner: Mini Joker
Match Time: 21:06
Notes: Rudos vs técnicos, no battle royal. Vega is on the apron getting put on a stretcher for minutes after he takes the Demus Driver while the match is still going on, though the match moves so fast it seems longer.
Review: [good] as good, or maybe a little better, than the two other ciberneticos around this time even with less people involved. They did a nice job of giving different people chances – both Mini Joker winning and Astro going a long time – while still giving plenty to the other guys. Demus looked super, eliminating half the other team and generally throwing the técnicos around like a child play wrestling with stuffed animals. Pequeño Joker was a good winner but Demus looked like the best guy in the match. Vega was really good too before Demus killed him. The biggest problem holding this match was Astral, who might have been the 8th or 9th best guy in the match but was into it all the way to the end. I don’t know what they were trying to do at near the end, he had some other issues earlier, and the dives at the end actually seemed to hurt the momentum of the match. Still, this was overall really fun with lots of good moments and flew by.
Match 4: Dragón Lee, Máximo Sexy, Valiente vs Gran Guerrero, Hechicero, Pólvora
Arena Puebla, 11/14/2016
Video: VideosOficialesCMLL
- rudos
- Pólvora el pulpo Valiente (4:10)
- rudos
- Pólvora Driver Maximo (3:36)
- Pólvora powerbomb Dragon Lee (3:59)
Winner: rudos (2/3)
Match Time: 8:09
Notes: Polvora challenged Dragon Lee to a title shot next week after his win.
Review: [below average] Kept thinking this was about to pick up, and waiting, and waiting, and Hechicero was still boot choking Máximo in the corner and I was wondering while why I was watching this. Dragon Lee’ stuff didn’t look good this week, though I’m not sure it was all him. Pólvora winning all the falls was good build up, but this match was totally nothing.
Match 5: Atlantis, Rush, Último Guerrero vs Cavernario, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. in a relevos increíbles match

- Negro Casas casita Rush (1:45)
- Team Último Guerrero
- Último Guerrero Atlantida Volador (2:17)
- Atlantis Atlantida Cavernario (2:17)
Winner: Team UG (1/3)
Match Time: 5:22
Review: [ok] perfectly fine main event, much better than the match that followed it, but so really short. They did enough in the time they had to make it feel like it wasn’t a total cheat, but they were getting in there and out of there as quick as possible and other things were not much a priority. I probably should be harder on a five minute main event but I guess I really didn’t like the match before. The double Atlantida spot is always fun.
