Rush versus Thunder for some reason, Lucha Underground on SportsCenter tonight

2) El Cuatrero, King Jaguar, Sansón b Black Tiger, Starman, Tritón LA MEJOR LUCHA LIBRE DEL MUNDO EN VIVO 25 DE ENERO DE 2016 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
17:58. Rudos took 1/3.
3) Blue Panther Jr., Delta, Stigma DQ Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado LA MEJOR LUCHA LIBRE DEL MUNDO EN VIVO 25 DE ENERO DE 2016 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
12:37. Blue Panther Jr. replaced Rey Cometa. Pierroth fouled Delta. Delta demanded a rematch next wee.
4) Ángel de Oro, Máximo, Valiente b Euforia, Felino, Gran Guerrero LA MEJOR LUCHA LIBRE DEL MUNDO EN VIVO 25 DE ENERO DE 2016 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
9:40. Tecnicos took 1/3. Maximo replaced Super Porky (injury) a few hours before the show.
5) Kráneo, Ripper, Thunder DQ La Máscara, Marco Corleone, Rush LA MEJOR LUCHA LIBRE DEL MUNDO EN VIVO 25 DE ENERO DE 2016 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
10:15. “Rudos” took 2/3, Thunder tossing his mask to Rush for the DQ. Rush demanded a singles match next week and Thunder accepted.

Thunder/Rush is going to be a thing. Can you imagine if Thunder wins? I don’t think CMLL would do that, but I do believe they’re capable of it.

Cuatrero and Sanson look OK for guys who are just starting out. Sanson got the better reviews, but neither appears to be stiffs.

Rey Cometa and Super Porky both missed Saturday’s show with injury as well. Cometa is now off tonight’s show, with Titan in his place.

Tonight’s CMLL Arena Mexico card has Atlantis, Maximo and Stuka Jr. vs Boby Z, Rey Bucanero and Terrible in the main event. They were headed to a Rey Bucanero/Maximo match last week. Semimain is Angel de Oro, Blue Panther and Titan vs Hechicero, Vangellys and Gran Guerrero. It’s the first night back in action for the FantasticaMania crew, who seemed to arrive back in Mexico yesterday afternoon. I wouldn’t expect a lot out of them on this show. Delta versus Felino is the lightning match, which might turn up on YouTube later.

The first three matches have a lot of changes listed only in the preview. Pequeno Universo replaces Mercurio in the minis match, Skadi & Vaquerita replace Marcela & Estrellita in the women’s segunda, and Nitro is in for Skandalo in the tercera.

This show does not appear to be streamed. It looks like last week’s stream was a one time thing, but maybe it’s something we’ll see again for another big Tuesday match.

Guadalajara has Los Ingobernables against Dragon Rojo, Kraneo and Thunder. Last week’s show teased a Kraneo/Rush match. Having one next week would fit with CMLL’s usual bit of booking people in multiple singles matches in a week.

CMLL’s Facebook has a video introducing with Okumura introducing Tanaka & Komtasu as Raijin and Fujin. They’re not masked here, so I guess they’re not going to be masked in CMLL (which is unusual.)

The Lucha Underground SportsCenter segment taped last week will air tonight as part of their midnight ET show. (That’s on the main ESPN, not the ESPNews segments they’ve been doing on WWE.) In an interview with Channel Guide Mag, Catrina talked about the Lucha Underground allowed her to develop her acting skills much more than she would’ve in WWE, and mentions she helped come up with both the Lick of Death and the Rock of Death she carries around.

411Mania writes about what every character was up to in Season 1. PWP has a primer for new fans.

In hyping Rey de Reyes, Texano says he beat Mesias before for the Mega Championship and he will again.

NJPW posted a video of 10 great Mascara Dorada spots to celebrate his year with the company.

Artillero insists he’s still in CMLL despite being booked in IWRG (which was previously off limits to CMLL wrestlers.)

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and this week’s Poster-Mania.

Chairo 3 (03/06, Arena Naucalpan, Chairo Kingdom) card so far
Mascara Dorada vs Extreme Tiger, falls count anywhere
Super Muneco vs Maximo – NEW

Raymond Rowe will return to ChilangaMask for their 3rd Anniversary show. No match announced so far.

This week’s Box Y Lucha has Alberto’s comments about Caristico on the cover.

Arena Coliseo Monterrey has a double hair match tonight, with Mr. ice and exotico La Chocolata versus Monje Negro and soccer doppleganger Ronaldinho.

There’s new people in charge of the Box Y Lucha commission in Queretaro.

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 02/01/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Asturiano & Black Tiger vs Ares & Espíritu Maligno
2) Magnus & Metatrón vs Rey Apocalipsis & Toro Bill Jr.
3) Blue Panther Jr., Delta, Stigma vs Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado
4) Ángel de Oro, Titán, Tritón vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
5) Rush vs Thunder
6) Atlantis, La Máscara, Volador Jr. vs Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero

That tecnico team is going to have some problems. Magnus versus the Battalion de la Muerte is going to be fun, and so should that opener. Four match is the trios champs against possible contenders.

indy (THU) 02/18/2016 Arena Aficion
1) Spidergirl & Zuzu Divine vs India Mazahua & Princesa Mohicana
2) Bart Simpson, Homero Simpson, Lisa Simpson vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
3) Pesadilla, Rocky Lobo, Super Crazy vs Felino, Puma (CMLL), Tiger (CMLL)
4) Canek & Mr. Niebla vs Sharly Rockstar & Último Guerrero

This probably won’t make any video, but the main event is weird enough to take notice. Canek & Mr. Niebla are less than an ideal team. It surprised me no one’s thought of being Spidergirl earlier, since there’s a dozen Hombre Aranas running around.
