The only major show yesterday was Arena Coliseo Guadalajara’s weekly Tuesday show (not moved to Wednesday like most other shows.) In a little bit of surprise, Metalico took Omar Brunetti’s hair via foul in their big match. Metalico can’t quite be Pedro Infante bald, so this works out for me. (It also suggests Leono was the one scheduled to lose their hair in their weird feud, though it’s unclear why Metalico just couldn’t win both.)
Today’s CaraLucha show is one of many upcoming cards damaged by the fall out between CMLL and LA Park. My early impression is CMLL was making the indy promoters choose between them and Park; everyone’s ended up with Park, which might be support for the guy who got fired or CMLL not actually giving promoters a choice and just pulling everyone.
CaraLucha’s card now looks like this:
Cara Lucha (WED) 09/16/2015 Arena San Juan Pantitlan, Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México
1) ? vs ??
2) Centvrión & Látigo vs Metaleón & Mr. Leo
3) Rayo Star & Sky Man vs Flyer & Principe Diamante
4) Fly Star & Toxin vs Aeroboy & Violento Jack
5) Andy Boy, Danger, Guerrero Mixtico vs Centinela, Epydemius,Ultimo Ninja
6) Damián 666 vs LA Park vs Pagano
There are still interesting matches and the effort will be there to make up for what was missed, but it loses some of the excitement from not having Rush. Rush sent out a pro-CaraLucha message. The CMLL luchadors seem to dislike this decision as much as everyone else, but are being cautious not to go against their promotion.
Flyer would seem to be either not with CMLL or on such a limited schedule (like Principe Diamante) that they don’t prevent him from working these shows.
The Lucha Libre Boom show has also been changed. Only the main event, now full of Parks and Wagner family members, has been announced but the undercard probably will need some adjustments too.
