AAA TV (MON) 08/31/2015 Polideportivo La Huizachera, Tehuacán, Puebla
1) Faby Apache, Niño Hamburguesa, Venum vs El Apache, La Hiedra, Mamba
2) Argenis, Australian Suicide, Súper Nova vs Carta Brava Jr., Machine Rocker, Súper Fly
3) Aerostar, Bengala, Drago vs Daga, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Steve Pain
4) Angélico & Jack Evans vs Dark Cuervo & Dark Scoria and Joe Lider & Pentagón Jr.
5) Psycho Clown vs Chessman © [AAA LA]
Chessman 2nd defense. Seconds are Jack Evans & Pentagon Jr.
6) Fénix & Rey Mysterio Jr. vs El Mesías & Myzteziz

Poster pulled from KronoSport, but I suspect it’ll be everywhere by the end of the day. FWIW, Tehuacan is about a 100 minutes away from Puebla, so this show isn’t going to affect Arena Puebla (and vice versa) except for the hardcores.

Air Date: 09/05 (the Saturday following) and 09/12.

This card is going to be better than TripleMania, but that’s an incredibly low bar. This lineup has the bonus of looking pretty good on it’s own. Matches two and three in particular have no apparent purpose except for being really good matches, which is something that other show could’ve used.

I’m not really possessed to do the math, but this seems like a much younger card than TripleMania. It’s not just the one time and special event acts like Villanos and Blue Demon; the guys who appeared to be on TripleMania only to keep them happy (everyone in the Demon match, no Cibernetico.) Some guys who are good but aren’t on TV much get a shot.

Myzteziz starts right away on the rudo side, and opposite of Rey Mysterio Jr. Mesias has been best against Fenix (in both countries) and best against smaller luchadors – if he doesn’t have a good match here, he’s never going to have one. I guess the Fenix/Myzteziz Reyes del Aire tag team is dead.

Chessman, last seen participating in his annual dumb fall off a high place in a bad way, gets reassembled to face Psycho Clown. Either Psycho wins the title (which would be great! and maybe the first time this title got to someone where it might get over) or Villano IV costs him the match. I would like to see Jack Evans and Psycho Clown have a prematch strategy session.

It looks like Joe Lider & Pentagon, the actual tag team champions, are back to being a tag team after their misadventures at the end of TripleMania. They’re reintroduced to the tag teams who are actually participating in tag team matches, so those titles should be defended sometime soon. (That seems like the easiest match to figure for Heroes Inmortales, there’s not a lot obviously hinted here.)

Hijo del Pirata hanging out with Daga & Steve Pain (Anarkia lives!) sounds much more fun than Hijo del Pirata hanging out with Electroshock and Parka Negra.

I was a little concerned Venum had vanished when he wasn’t at the AAA march and Ludxor went to Colombia without his tag team partner, but he returns. La Hiedra did well on AAA’s swing thru Nuevo Laredo and gets brought in.

This show continues the pattern of AAA TV mostly being two week shows, so probably not another taping until the second week of September.
