I’ll check back in later and update this with results, but if you want some place to talk about the show in progress (or share PPV feeds), use the comments. I don’t think you can crash the site this time, but feel free to hammer on it to see.

SoloLuchas, which bounces from match to match in a fashion where I’m not sure if I have order right, confirms Mictlan is Jonathan de Jesús Navarro Jiménez. He’s 26, 9 years a wrestler (think about that for a sec) and from Guadalajara.
Quick details for those joining late, with more tomorrow
– Main event was just A Match. No angle, no feud, nothing different than what you might get on a Tuesday or Sunday.
– Similarly, Felino was just A Rudo. And lost in two falls due to DQ. It worked for Santo! I’m thinking not so much here.
– No explanation of Dutt for Styles. Doesn’t really make a difference, they’re all TNA Invader I, II, III to the public. MCMG won clean on Negro and Atlantis and want a title shot. Ultimo still wants the hair/mask match, but I suspect we’ll see some sort of rematch in September for the belts.
– People really really care about the luchawiki. I appreciate that.
As president of the Amapola Fan Club, either I go twelve pargraphs on that booking choice or I step away from the computer a few hours. I’ll see you tommorow.

Rudos won the first match, no live feed for the moment, neither radio that I know of and not even Superluchas seems to be covering it (maybe the site is broken?)
SoloLuchas has more in-depth coverage rather than just saying who won the fall…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Just to interupt the coverage for one sec… I know you asked this before Chui so here’s your answer:
“The 8/22 Arena Mexico show, featuring Mistico’s return from Beijing, only drew 5,000 fans. For whatever it’s worth, it was blamed on the Olympics.”
Looks like Bob is back to being a WON reporter.:)
That sucks… normally I would say guys are saving up their money for the big show, but… what big show? SL updated with a smackdown! results post, what, they didn’t even spent 200 pesos on a lousy PPV?
Now they’re up…
Remember last time SL joined in late.
Check your ByL msgs.
Steve Sims was just nice enough to e-mail a direct link for the radio feed:
mms://63.99.225.140/estadiow
Open that in WMP.
Beat me to that by a couple of minutes… looks as if it is down to Lady vs Amapola.
Amapola bald.
I think the crowd thought it was 2 out of 3 falls since there was no pop at all.
I think nobody gives a shit.:)
heh AJ Styles no-shows, Sonjay Dutt replaces him. I doubt anyone in the crowd would have noticed if they just announced Dutt as AJ Styles to be perfectly honest.
Crowd kind of woke up to cheer Guerrero…
I wonder if Foristas will bash CMLL for putting the foreigners as evil just like they do for AAA doing so.
Don’t hurt yourself wondering because obviously they won’t.:)
Can you imagine someone on RFC’s board called it Triste AAA? So I asked him what his opinion was of the Coliseo which has Mil, Tinieblas, Herodes and Pancho Tequila on top.
Guys are wondering why the show didn’t draw, blaming the Olympics… oh, I mean the prices, even when kids are let in for free on the bleachers…
Well, they say 60% but they probably expected more with a double stip…
Jorge Ocampo says 75% so probably around the 12,000 mark which means CMLL really should be throwing a party because that’s a high number for this type of card.
Taking papering out, I say they barely did 9000 which is not that bad considering they almost doubled last week, still, only thing left is if they build something up for the anniv show.
They did. CMLL vs TNA for the trios titles.:) ~OVERFLOWING CROWD!
Edecanes dancing lasted more than first two falls of the masks match, why don’t they do them one fall?
I’m not sure if the trios match was set for next week.
It’s still funny to read when the SL guys are surprised at the falls only lasting 1-3 minutes. What CMLL have they been watching the last few years?
Well, what CMLL have their workers themselves watching when they don’t want to jump to AAA because they’re “proud of their work”.
LOL, luchawiki had the outcome before the match took place (I guess cubs forgot to block it this time)
That’s my fault too since I remembered to do it last night and fell asleep (I was sick!) before making the change.
To be fair, Veteranrio was just editing the women’s result and only updated the Mictlan thing a few minutes before the match ended.
We’ll have to catch that in the future b/c the SL guys are INCENSED!
I love the guy who said we just got lucky b/c someone even reported Benoit’s death on the real world wiki before it actually occured.
Benoit’s death : Mictlan losing his mask for the third time.
Oh man, now ByL is giving the Wiki shit! I didn’t even know people checked the Wiki so much during the big shows.
The previous uproar was because (same veterinario?) someone posted that Cerebro Negro won Police Man hair, this time the wiki was right, so what’s the problem?
Best thing was the “Let’s check the luchawiki to see if Obama or Mcain wins”
Yeah but since then we made it a rule to shut down the profiles of people heading into stip matches. I don’t know why but these people think we have secret contacts and are ruining the fun of the match. As if anyone would need a secret contact to figure out Mictlan was losing tonight.
Either way we’ll stop it in the future even if the match is Metalik vs Halcon Negro.
Now I’m trying to think if we have any stip matches coming up so I can shut down some bios. *L* Elegido vs Pirata I guess but I don’t think AAA said it that would be a straight match or not.
Wait a minute, why was anyone checking Mictlan’s profile? To make the same edit themselves?
They were going to put that Mictlan WON DRJr mask…
A fitting title for the show would be: “Chronicle of a Bomb Foretold”
I bet the “60%-75%” will end up being at around 11K as most have anticipated, probably less, and the show didn’t produce any angles save that TNA thing, nor the matches were said to be any good. Disappointing considered they had more time to build up to this than the anniversary show, which only has 2 more weeks to be set up.
@xuisaw: no, this title is right. It’s just CMLL showing no mercy to the fans and the fans responding in kind.
LOL, the commentary guys actually said that!!!
Sims said the place was “about a half house”. Are we getting closer to Hijo del Santo’s return?
Ticketmaster is selling the anniversary show, “Panther vs Villano V”, prices go from 200 to 1400.
