There’s gotta be another match to be announced, right? No Hell Brothers, No Sect, lots of midcarders missing. Matches 2-4 all feel like a normal second match, the semimain feels like it should be third on the card, and the main looks like a semimian. You can either look at this as AAA pulling a CMLL Sunday Coliseo lineup (where a highlight match is kept quiet until they run the taping before – Chessman & Ciber are teaming in Queretaro, after all) or just a plain lame card.

Is Kenzo Suzuki the best wrestler in the main event? I mean, that’s a crazy theory, but it’s definitely arguable. I guess the idea here is they’re hyping on the new look for Gronda, but I don’t know who still cares about him. (Not AAA, or they would’ve kept booking him.)

In fact, I’d just make Teddy & Jack vs Crazy & Ultimo the main event. The other match isn’t going to be hurt by being a semimain and Teddy and Jack are hot enough that it may make all four guys seem like a bigger deal. But then, I would’ve put the tag team titles on the team that’s been treated like the best tag team (instead of the team that either loses or doesn’t appear on TV) so they’d be on the line here, and AAA’s not following that line of thinking either.

Porky’s losing streak goes on. At least for one day, Gato Eveready is actually now doing the best of the ex-Barrios. A women’s tag and a mixed tag is a stretch (as is using La Hechicera at all.) Oriental and Cinthia face the mixed tag champs yet again in a non-title match, and one would hope they win one of these.

Unlike all the other recent tapings, only one mini tournament match announced here. This would leave AAA with 5 wrestlers in the second round, which makes no sense at all. Mascarita Divina seems to be missing from this tournament – maybe they can’t find a rudo mini to face him? Also looks like Mini Charly Manson’s tecnico turn may be meant to stick, though Mini Chessman’s seems to be a rudo.

  1. This is how AAA cards should always look. No Messias, no Vampiro, no Joe Lider, no Juvi, you get the idea. Throw in Latin Lover and you’de have an ideal show.

  2. The Madero lineup is on RFC’s page and explains the mini’s tournament with just one brilliant line…

    ELIMINATORIA CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL MINI AAA

MASCARITA DIVINA VS MINI KENZO SUSUKY

    Ummm…

    YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
