Upcoming lineups

While I’m killing time, here’s a couple lineups for this weekend:

Sunday, Arena Coliseo has a “Extraordinary” tag tournament schedule that actually kinda lives up the name, given some of the odd pair ups.

– Tony Rivera & Blue Panther
– Black Warrior & Sagrado
– George Takano (Cobra I) & Cobra II
– Ultimo Vampiro & Tarzan Boy
– Bestia Salvaje & Violencia
– Universo 2000 & Mascara Ano 2000
– Black Tiger & Okumura

While it may (probably WILL) be a different guy under the mask this time, the last time I saw Cobra II listed in a match result, it was Puma Kid on a NJPW-LA show. Takano was a NJPW wrestler mostly, so it’s odd to see him here far after he’s doen. I bet money on them getting Tiger and Okumura in round 1.

Unusual high postion for Ultimo Vampiro, who’s booked stronger in other promotions but mostly an opening card guy in CMLL. He’s also booked in the tercera trios match, so maybe someone dropped out. Odd thing is, that matchup is listed as Tigre Blanco/Angel Azteca/Ultimo Vampiro vs Sangre Azteca/Arkangle/Loco Max, which means UVampiro is listed as a tecnico and a rudo on the same card.

Same day in Guadalajara, there’s a main event seemingly booked just for me: Terrible, Veneno and area wrestler Sheriff vs Shocker, Mascara Magica, and Alan Stone. Guapos 4.0 finally team together for the first time (that I’ve noticed.)

Next weekend (Sundaya again), they’ll start running the rematches of tonight’s mask/mask – in this case, it’s part of a big show in Madero

– Tsuki/Ultimo Dragoncito/Mini Olimpico vs Pierrothito/Mini Violencia/Espectrito
– Classic Match: Brazos (Porky/Oro/Platino) vs Villanos (III, IV, V)
– Rematch: Safari/Felino/Volador Jr. (c) vs Brazo de Oro Jr./Texano Jr./Misterioso Jr. for the Mexican Trios Titles
– Negro Casas, Shocker, Terrible, Mascara Magica, Zumbido, Bestia Salvage in a Cage of Death Match (hair)
– La Park and partner(s) TBA vs Hijo de Perro Aguayo and partner(s) TBA
– Rayo & Canek vs Universo & Wagner

That’s a lot of main event stuff for one card.

With the Villianos involved, this wouldn’t seem to be a CMLL card, but they’ve mentioned it on the website.
