Hombre Bala Jr., Molotov, Súper Halcón Jr. vs Guerrero Negro Jr., Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu: I did not fall asleep watching this match. I did fall asleep within fifteen minutes of watching this match. It wasn’t that bad but it had not a lot of interesting to it. Not as much a Halcón/Bala showcase as some other matches, but they get some of their stuff in. Guerrero Negro was good. The other people were the other people.
Lluvia, Luna Mágica, Silueta vs La Comandante, La Vaquerita, Zeuxis: Everything was going fine, and then Zeuxis tried her moonsault. That did not go fine. The others were in no position to make the catch, but maybe you should always take a split second to look behind you before you try the moonsault. Outside of the near death, this was actually a much better match than I thought – Zeuxis, Comandante and Vaquerita are a fun ruda trio. They were trying stuff and working hard (Zeuxis especially was all over the place) and it was much more improved than the usual Tuesday women’s match. Lluvia’s timing needs work and Luna Mágica is Luna Mágica, so they were at least one more good tecnica away from a good match but this was closer than they usually get.
Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Máscara Dorada vs Morphosis, Olímpico, Shigeo Okumura: Sudden end – the usual bit of everyone breaking up a move before going into something else never went to anything else. Olímpico just got his move and no one was there to break it up. (So this was sort of Maya & Delta’s fault!) Didn’t feel like the start of an Olímpico/Dorada program, just time was up and Dorada was captain so that’s how they were getting out of it. Felt like Delta & Maya got to do more team stuff in this match than their Arena Coliseo title shot and Dorada was on, so this one had it’s moments.
Máximo, Rush, Thunder vs Kráneo, Mr. Niebla, Psicosis: Mostly a comedy match for the first two falls, then the comedy of Thunder being showcased at the end of it. Rudos worked really hard making the técnicos look impressive, and this was just a match to make the técnicos look impressive. Mije really looked like he took a bad shot into the barricade but was fine by the end of the match.
