taped 2013-04-16 @ Arena Mexico
Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Super Halcón Jr. vs Artillero, Súper Comando, Taurus: The torito is up there with casitas as the most dangerous holds in all of CMLL. You scarcely get up from those. A better sounding match than it actually turned out to be; Super Comando and Artillero are a fun team when they’re interested in doings stuff, but they were just kind of passing thru on this one. Rudos section was a drag as a result. The young guys are still iffy at times but getting better.
Diamante, Sagrado, Tritón vs Misterioso Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis: by the numbers trios match which was underwhelming in some parts and stronger in others. Nothing really rising to be memorable over the many other variations of the same match. The end spot with Vangelis’s dropkick on Diamante was the best looking part of the match.
Ángel de Oro, Delta, Stuka Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión: An okay/good match that I watched broken up quite a bit, so didn’t get the greatest feel. Escorpion and Stuka have good potential as opponents but didn’t come off as more than an insta-fued. They did it playing their usual characters well, but it still seemed like two names picked out of a hat.
La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto: The B/B+ version of this match. They weren’t pushing themselves and each other as much as they were when these two teams were feuding (and when the técnicos were still a feud), because it was a random Tuesday match; this was more formula but it was well done formula. Leading up to the triple tope spot is not quite as impressive when the last match did the same thing. On the other side of the coin, maybe finishing with one of those bits they always do for a near fall – everyone gets cradles at once – would be a nice change of pace.

CMLL Mini Extravaganza on the Fight Network this week I believe was repeats again… I tried to look up the show listing http://eurovisionshowcase.com/programmes/minis-extravaganza which I thought listed the number of episodes originally (I thought it was in the 50 range, which would mean about half aired?) but it doesn’t appear to be listed now.
Anyways show 1:
2010-10-15 Arena Mexico 1 of 6: Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito b Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito *
Dorada was captain, he got beat in the 1st, Tecnicos win by Countout after dives in the 2nd, Rudos triple teamed Dorada for the 3rd.
Show 2:
2010-11-05 Arena Mexico 2 of 6: Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior b Astral, Bam Bam, Eléctrico * *
Funny part where Astral was trying to do somersault plancha, but flipped landed on his ass and feet on the entranceway before salvaging it and turning it into headscissors. Warrior just looked at him like WTF?
