03/15: Mexico, lineup, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 03/14 Arena Mexico [Ovaciones, ESTO, superluchas]
1) Ángel Azteca Jr. & Metálico b Pólvora & Vaquero
2) Flash, Máscara Púrpura, Stuka Jr. DQ Loco Max, Nitro, Skandalo
3) Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei b Dark Angel, Goddess, Marcela
4) Alex Koslov, Blue Panther, Negro Casas DQ Damián 666, Mr. Águila, Villano V
5) Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone, Místico b Averno, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mephisto

Tecnicos won the first fall of the main event when Mistico’s mask got pulled. He went to the back, got a new mask, and came back to start the comeback. Marco and Mistico got in dives, and Hector kicked Perro in taped ribs (?) and moonsaulted for the win.

Villano V yanked Blue Panther’s mask for a DQ in that match. This seems to be a feud. ESTO says Goddess improved, but “still is not convincing.” No one quite specifies what the DQ is in the segunda, but it was a straight falls match.

CMLL (TUE) 03/18 Arena Mexico
1) Súper Camaleón & Súper Tri vs Pólvora & Zayco
2) Mictlán, Neutrón, Tony Rivera vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Loco Max
3) Fabián el Gitano, Leono, Máscara Púrpura vs Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus
4) La Sombra, Sagrado, Volador Jr. vs Damián 666, Ephesto, Misterioso II
5) Alex Koslov, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone vs Terrible, Texano Jr., Villano V

Trios champs teaming up. Odd competition though.

CMLL (FRI) 03/21 Arena Mexico
1) Dark Angel, Marcela, Sahori vs Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei
2) Bam Bam, Mascarita Dorada, Tzuki vs Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
3) Grey Shadow, La Sombra, Sagrado vs Olímpico, Rey Bucanero, Sangre Azteca
4) Blue Panther, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. vs Mr. Águila, Terrible, Villano V
5) Atlantis, Místico, Último Guerrero vs Averno, LA Park, Mephisto [relevos incredible]
6) Héctor Garza vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo [hair]

I forgot that everything on the US feed of CAN52 is now an hour later due to Daylight Savings Time, until things sync up again. Hope that didn’t mess anyone up.

CMLL CAN52 Guerreros del Ring #119 has
03/07 Mexico: Máscara Púrpura, Mictlán, Stuka Jr. b Arkangel de la Muerte, Skandalo, Virus
03/09 Coliseo: Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Último Guerrero b LA Park, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.

  1. Meh, last nights card looked boring as hell. The main and segunda may be ok, but i wouldn’t expect much.

Tuesdays TV card overall is weak, but yet again, it could be argued it’s only about 3 or 4 lower midcard tecnico changes away from being a great looking card – It’s crystal clear that’s where the problem is in CMLL right now. And Damian in that semi is weird (and shit). If they’d threw Sangre into that for example, it would have been an amazing lineup.

On the bright side however, NEUTRON!~, Los Nuevos Infernales beating up slugs, Volador/Virus exchanges, and uhmm… Fabian probably giving us a laugh again! :)

GdR looks like it could be real fun this week.

  2. Volador/Virus exchanges
    —————–

Wait, i’m talking shit. Better make that Misterioso :o

  3. The time change thing is already messing with me. So CMLL isn’t starting till 5EST and Cadena Tres w/ mini’s won’t air till 6EST, correct?

Next Tuesday looks very average. No mini’s or women to round out a card these days is surprising. Sadly I’m not as high on Neutron as you still are Henrik so I see him having the spot he rightfully deserves and he’ll fit right in with those two other lazy bums. Old Neutron would use this match to go nuts and show up everyone. We’ll see what the new Neutron does…

I hope that semi sets up a title match. Might not be the strongest team challenging but everyone steps up for a title match and it would show the bookers remember they are champs.

    GdR indeed looks quite fun.

  4. The Cadena Tres show should be one hour delayed for us. XEJ was running one hour delayed for us, now it’s 2 hours delayed cuz of the time change.

  5. Which means Cadena Tres will cut into the Leafs game so I thank CMLL for putting together a completely skippable second hour.:D

  6. WOOHOO! Arena Mexico segunda is airing.

Women are skipped so probably airing next week and possibly also airing on GDR next week.

  7. Wow… I think I figured out the new gimmick of Los Rebeldes. They have great first falls, promising starts to the second fall and then get DQ’ed so we can’t see a third fall. How disapointing.

  8. Queretaro looks awesome on tv.

Did anyone notice Daniel woke up grumpy today? Maybe if Latin Lover is the surprise Luchador tomorrow, he’ll feel better for months to come.

  9. Who paid for all them ads with Latin Lover? I’m seeing them entirely too much and is about to pull my eyes out.

  10. The new link is better and much clearer. And this is with two streams running at the same time.

  11. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WAHT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

    Shockercito = DEAD FOREVER.

  12. AAA and KFC commercial is AWESOME. Good look for AAA.
This is the $2 million thing Meltzer was talking about, right?

  13. ‘Fraid not. First link gives a blank screen. 2nd link just doesn’t open.

On the brightside, i get perfect sound…. now i just have to learn to understand Spanish :(

  14. That’s so weird Henrik, you have a new version of WMP?

They are rushing this mini’s match more than usual as the first fall was pretty short (cool moonsault counter out of a sunset flip by Electrico + bullet tope suicida by Celestial) and the second fall was JIP during a Shockercito exchange. He was going for an asai moonsault on Damiancito 333 but Fire came from out of the screen with the MOST VICIOUS DROPKICK EVER and sent Shockercito flying backwards (like the Aero Star dive) right over Damiancito on the floor and almost into the front row! BRUUUUUUUUUUTAL! Fire and Agulita used cool finishers to win the fall.

  15. Fire is amazing. The tecnicos are getting destroyed… they did the usual Familia triple team gutbuster spot but Fire did a double stomp on Ceslstial!

  16. Dunno, it’s just the same WMP i’ve always had. Most weeks the show starts with a shitty feed, but it soon speeds up to normal after 5 minutes or so, so this sucks. I could kinda follow what was going on in that 3rd fall with the still pics, but it’s hardly the same as watching the match

  17. AMAZING MATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck I wish I this could have been recorded.:(

Electrico broke his skull on the ramp trying the Volador Jr. assisted rana spot. He got right up and did some awesome spots with the rudos.

Celestial had a GREAT exchange including a 6-1-9 into a rana into an armdrag… if that makes any sense.:) He also did a running SSP onto his feet and a Mascarita Dorada-esque satellite headscissors on Damiancito which led to…

Electrico with a no-hands Sasuke style somersault plancha OVER THE RINGPOST ONTO DAMIANCITO!

Celestial moonsaulted OFF OF FIRE’S SHOULDERS and then armdragged him outside for a Shockercito asai moonsault where he got stuck halfway in the air and came down vertically almost onto his head!!!

Aguilita did a pescado after Celestial missed a huge spear in the corner.

Damiancito pinned Electrico with a power bomb.

How is it possible this was more spotty than the recent Dorada/Tzuki tag?

  18. Electrico with a no-hands Sasuke style somersault plancha OVER THE RINGPOST ONTO DAMIANCITO!

Spot of the match, my mouth literally open when he did that

  19. Needless to say I think Celestial and Electrico more than made up for the shaky performance they had a couple weeks back.:) I’ll do my best to get this capped for you Henrik.

  20. It figures the one week I skip the show, the mini’s are on fire. Damn you Fabian for making me not care.

  21. Here’s the link for the commercial… can you say “Wagner in AAA rumor” for the eleventh time (so far during 2008)

    kfc.com.mx/video4.html

  22. Looks like I should have watch the entire Cadena Tres show instead of the main CMLL show.
I missed the minis match and was only able to watch the third match. Sounds like the minis match was a MOTYC.

  23. NotiAAA announced some future dates, AAA will run here in Torreon, April 5, those Plaza de Toros show should have done well since they’re running Coliseo Centenario which is a brand new venue (opened on late Febraury this year) and the most expensive one over here (not counting the soccer stadium, I guess).

  24. So Jack Evans will debut in Torreon. Be prepared for a Jack, Teddy, ?Juventud? vs Halloween/Tiger/TJ Extreme match. Surely Torreon has never seen a better match than that.;)

  25. That new venue looks great on the website. Should look great on TV. In fact, it could host a major show like Mania or Verano. I’m surprised WWE didn’t book it for their next tour.

  26. There’s no WWE show over here,(well, I think they have ECW), so I don’t know if they would be willing to hold a show here when Mty is just 3 hours away.

New Coliseo is at the end a ringbull, it shouldn’t be that expensive as they are making it to look.
