XMW (SAT) 12/08/2012 Gimnasio Gloria [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Black Mamba, Black Puma, Fly Warrior, Harry Boy, Yoruba b Corsario Negro, Diablo, Fly Metalik, Metaleon, White [lumberjack strap]
White replaced Chica Ye-Ye
2) Dollar b Emo Extreme, Diva Salvaje
Emo and Diva replaced Heavy Boy and Lunathaor. Emo pinned Diva, Dollar beat Emo.
3) Arez b Ojo Diabólico Jr., Fulgore, Fly Star, Maiden, Sick Boy, Oscuro, Mr. Leo [Copa Preposada XMW]
No trophy was actually presented. Arez beat Mr. Leo to win the title.
4) Marcela b Ludark Shaitan [XMW WOMEN]
Marcela won the championship, though Ludark looked good in a defeat.
5) Saruman b Belial, Tornado, Impulso, Magnus [XMW JUNIOR]
Saruman kept his champion, beating Impluso. Magnus was added to the match.
6) Hijo del Fantasma b Dance Boy, Terremoto [DF LH]
Hijo del Fantasma kept his title.
Marcela did not have the XMW belt – or her CMLL belt – on Sunday’s show so I don’t know if they’ll be showing this acknowledging this in CMLL.
IWRG (SUN) 12/09/2012 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), The Gladiatores]
1) Dragoncito De Oro, Mini Batista, Mini Rey Cometa b Mini Policeman, Mini Rock Spirit, Piratita Morgan Jr.
Dragoncito de Oro replaced Mini Super Astro.
2) Alan Extreme, Eita, Imposible b Centvrión, Cerebro Negro, Freelance
Tecnicos were in control of the match when Freelance and Cerebro Negro had a mix up, and Cerebro Negro turned on both his teammates.
3) Oficial AK47 & Oficial Fierro b Rayan & Spartan [super libre]
Oficials bled so much, but the Comandos screwed up and lost the first fall. Lots of chair shots in the second with everyone bleeding. Comandos pinned Ak-47 after a Fierro mistake, but Fierro pulled Spartan’s mask and rolled him up, then beat Rayan for the win.
4) Dr. Cerebro, el Ángel, Trauma II b Canis Lupus, Carta Brava Jr., Oficial 911
Tecnicos took the first and were about to win the second when Cerebro Negro walked in and smacked Dr. Cerebro with a chair. Rudos took advantage for the fall. Trauma and Angel, who agreed to a truce, had problems in the third and were beat by the rudos for the win. Cerebro Negro ran back out for more, but Dr. Cerebro fought him off and they agreed to a hair match for next week. Trauma II wants a title match with Angel as well.
5) Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. DQ Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Trauma I
Capos jumped the tecnicos and took the first, Trauma I submitted Mascara in the second. Big brawl in the third. Pirata beat Wagner, Cien beat Hijo del Pirata, Pirata had Cien beat but Wagner came back in for the distraction, and Cien fouled Pirata while tossing him his mask. Refs ruled Pirata pulled Cien’s mask for the DQ.
Dragoncito de Oro is Voladorcito. Or at least was.
CMLL.com has all the holiday changes
- Sunday DF shows shift to Arena Mexico all the way until 01/13. Next Arena Coliseo show is 01/20. If I remember right, there’s been holiday festivities in the area of Arena Coliseo which makes it harder to actually get to the building, so they’ve been moving them to Arena Mexico. It’s the exact opposite of how CMLL used to work.
- The Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (Tuesday) Arena Mexico shows will have special holiday start times of 5pm, a couple hours earlier than usual.
- Puebla’s 12/24 and 12/31 shows move to 12/25 and 01/01, but keep their usual start time of 9pm. It’d be possible for luchadors to work both Mexico City and Puebla on those nights.
- Arena Coliseo Guadalajara has no schedule changes, but adds a Friday night show on 12/28.

In an interview to hype an appearance in Cuernavaca, Ultimo Guerrero mentions he was invited into lucha libre by his uncles, and he got his name from a rocker character on Television. I am not sure who that would be and I didn’t know Ultimo Guerrero had luchador uncles.
A post on Box Y Lucha claims JLD Foundation wanted 100% of the gate, and CMLL had agreed to a number lower than that.

Ultimo Guerrero is ashamed to admit that he got his name and original face design from Jim Hellwig. Smart considering Hellwig’s rep now.
Man those top two matches of the IWRG show look bonkers
Was at Prudential Center tonight. Seeing the entire Brad Maddox as ref during AJ vs. Vickie Guerrero, where he does not count convinced me WWE watches AAA.
the XMW Show was probably the best show i saw this year and i live in Mexico so i go to alot of shows
1) Black Mamba, Black Puma, Fly Warrior, Harry Boy, Yoruba b Corsario Negro, Diablo, Fly Metalik, Metaleon, White [lumberjack strap]
Crazy first match to start the night , some fuck ups a very good presentaion of Black Mamba.Money was thrown in the ring
2) Dollar b Emo Extreme, Diva Salvaje
The worst match of the night probably cause the rest of the heavy luchadores were not here.quick win for El Dollar.
3) Arez b Ojo Diabólico Jr., Fulgore, Fly Star, Maiden, Sick Boy, Oscuro, Mr. Leo [Copa Preposada XMW]
Match of the night . Arez which i never really saw as good Luchador before, had his breakout performance here. Maiden had a really nasty chest after the match. Good performance from Mr Leo and some really nasty jumps to the outside. Money was thrown into the ring.
4) Marcela b Ludark Shaitan [XMW WOMEN]
Slow beginning, i had the feeling Ludark was tiered but a very good performance from Marcela with some sick spots and a good finish(double stomp to the chest of Ludark.
Here as well money was thrown into the ring
5) Saruman b Belial, Tornado, Impulso, Magnus [XMW JUNIOR]
Second best match of the night with Saruman keeping the title but Impulso had ,like in the last show, the spot of the night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_7jHfw8LE0
Fans didnt like Magnus and booed him during the match.
Money was thrown into the ring.Sarumann and Impulso are feuding.
6) Hijo del Fantasma b Dance Boy, Terremoto [DF LH]
Short but good match with the expected winner and surprisingly a lot of support for Fantasma …..
maybe someone can explain me why XMW has so many Cmll Luchadores now….?
Overall a very good show which shows that XMW can go without breaking 200 Lightubes, or without having flight Inns like the Necro Butcher, and probably with the most motivated wrestler in 2012. I really wish they get a TV Slot next year because this promotion has to be seen.!
@lucas: Thanks for the review!
Hey Lucas – did you see the XMW match on AAA’s Fusion show last week? I really enjoyed it. Just a bunch of young guys doing all their moves and trying to win the crowd over. They did a ton of cool stuff I’ve never seen before.
Other than IWRG, XMW is easily my favorite indy group in Mexico to watch and I agree with you 100% about the hardcore stuff. That kind of thing I can easily do without ever seeing. I actually think XMW would be better off not doing much hardcore stuff b/c DTU does that same stuff using almost the same wrestlers and if XMW insists on doing it too they will be called a ripoff company.
Hey Rob yes i did see this match and i was really happy to see these guys on TV. I talked to the Dollar (who is obviously one of the owners) and he will bring me a XMW DVD package to the next show maybe i can upload some of it so you could watch it in good quality. The thing is the people here are very high on XMW at the moment and not so much DTU. Some wrestlers in DTU and XMW are the same but i think and i dont know why but they are more motivated to wrestle in front of an XMW crowd. i decided not to go to DTU anymore cause i was bascily bored and i dont even know why, i guess its tlalnepantla, the crowd there, almost every match has tubes..and the fucking arena lopez mateos is fucking cold always hahah but well i mean there are sooo many more shows here every day that even Box y Luchas doesnd cover them all.
But what i wanted to say it that XMW is easily my Indypromotion of the Year…..
