Tecnicos took 1/3.
2) Esfinge, Gallo, Smaker b Bárbaro Cavernario, Maléfico, Ráfaga
Rudos took 1/3.
3) Amapola & La Comandante b Dark Angel & Silueta
Rudos swept the falls with a bit of help by the referees.
4) In Memoriam b Eros [hair]
In Memoriam won via superbomb. Eros was said to be shaved (no picture) and strechered out. This might be the end of him.
5) Último Guerrero b Tama Tonga, Shigeo Okumura, Namajague, Euforia, Valiente, Titán, Máscara Dorada, La Máscara, Valiente [cibernetico]
Super Porky was originally announced, but quickly replaced by Diamante and eventually replaced by Valiente. Ultimo Guerrero defeated Mascara for the win.
6) Máximo b Volador Jr.
Maximo took 2/3, winning via kiss. Volador demanded revenge.

Today’s CMLL show is main evented by Niebla Roja & Ultimo Guerrero vs Polvora & Rey Escorpion. Some promotions use TV to build up next week’s live show. CMLL cut out the Niebla Roja/Polvora match that sets up this match because they’re not that good at this. Last week, CMLL headlined a preview hyping that show as Marco Corleone going for Terrible’s title, which didn’t make a lot of sense with Sombra actually challenging for it on Sunday. This week, it’s mentioned again when Marco (with Mascara & Valiente) take on Terrible (with Tama Tonga & Tiger.) As far as I know, Marco’s never gotten a heavyweight title shot in CMLL.

CMLL announced Friday’s Sombra vs Ultimo Guerrero lightning match will now just be a one fall no time limit match. Someone noticed how Sombra’s last lightning match went! It’s also an Ultimo Guerrero match, which means the first two falls are completely worthless and we’re getting right into the good stuff. A fine decision.

Llaves y Candados visited TNA/Impact Wrestling on a mission to bring Hulk Hogan to Monterrey. The teaser article suggests even having Hogan wrestle. This seemed planted in fantasy; Hogan is so broken that he can’t even do much physically for TNA – he can’t even fake his way thru a match and can barely do so for a very short brawl spot. I’m not sure how you actually make any money bringing Hogan in to Monterrey. They can sell out Arena Coliseo Monterrey for him, but if AAA struggled to bring in Kurt Angle for TripleMania (much bigger crowd at much bigger prices) for financial reasons, I can’t imagine the how you make the numbers work for Arena Coliseo Monterrey. But Hogan Big would be funny

On his Facebook account, Misterioso Jr. (Jr.) says he has torn ligaments in a knee (and that’s why he missed Sunday’s show), but is planning on going to his scheduled show tomorrow in Xalapa. That’s also the Mistico returns show.

Por Un Mexico Intelgiente has a good column where the writer talks about visiting Arena Olimpico Laguna every Thursday for years with a friend, and how he’s slowly stopped going due to security.

I have no idea what the deal is with the time limits. Ricochet is in World 1 and has been in here before so I presume it’s him but I haven’t checked a schedule.

  1. I’m a HUGE fan of Marco and would love to see him get a heavyweight title. Has he ever been a singles champ before?

  2. I checked the schedule and Ricochet is scheduled for a match in Japan that day. But Rich Swann is still in the US so it’s probably him.
