The HAIR MATCH. I kinda wish I could’ve lived in a world without spoilers for a week. Knowing what was going down, the match was just okay, but I think I would’ve had a lot of marking out if I saw Amapola win.
This was about the same Diana we’ve seen, and what we learned is Amapola may be great, but she’s not great enough to make this great. It was okay, it had flaws, and it occasionally had the tecnica getting booed, but it was perfectly fine for the conclusion of an Arena Coliseo midcard feud. I think I’d put it ahead of Mogur/Leono, when I think about in those terms. It’s a bit problematic that it was instead held in Arena Mexico, but what are you going to do?
By the fan reaction, it seemed the fans liked Diana they didn’t believe in her as a wrestler.
Main event was Kids Day-like with much less kids.

It was interesting how Amapola sold her leg with the limp, but ended up submitting Diana with a figure-four. Diana also showed no real emotion when her hair came off.
Cubs hit the nail on the head about the crowd not believing in Diana as a wrestler. I share that feeling about her work, and one of the people they talked to in the crowd between falls said Amapola deserved to win because she was clearly a better wrestler.
Didn’t the first lady in the crowd who was interviewed say, “I think Amapola’s a little chubby”? But Cubs is 100% right about that crowd.
