1) Infierno Kid & Matrix Jr. b Radical & Serpiente de Oro
Serpiente de Oro replaced Galaxy.
2) Comando Negro & Eita b Centvrión & Dinamic Black
Straight fall for the rudos. Eita & Centvrion are feuding, or at least fighting a lot.
3) Danny Casas, Eterno, Heddi Karaoui b Dr. Cerebro, Relampago, Trauma II
Rudos took 2/3. Eterno was hurt in the first fall but continued the match. Karaoui submitted Dr. Cerebro.
4) Chicano b Golden Magic [WWS WELTER]
Chicano has vacated the lightweight title, too heavy to continue hold the championship. Seconds were Dr. Cerbero (Chicano) and Trauma II (Golden Magic). Golden Magic, champion coming in, won the first with a Spanish Fly. Chicano took second with three suplexes and an inverted figure four. Chicano survived Golden Magic’s 450, then used a ref distraction to yank Magic’s mask and small package him for the win. Both seconds pointing out the cheating, but the ref would not reverse. Dr. Cerbero argued with Chicano over how he win. Chicano fouled him and walked off.
5) Cien Caras Jr. & Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Pirata Morgan
Pirates tried to jump the Capos, but they were ready for them and got the better of the Pirates. Capos took 1/3, the last fall coming down to Hijo de Mascara and Hijo de Pirata (though the other two interfered illegally.) Mascara rolled thru a ‘rana to beat Hijo de Pirata. The two talked about a title vs title match.

AAA’s TV announcement – posted first on SuperLuchas, maybe at some point on all the social media platforms that are so important and probably never on AAA’s actual web site – is Saturday’s show will air Perro Aguayo vs Mascara Ano 2000 & Konnan vs Cien Caras from TripleMania I, plus run preview packages for TripleMania. That would’ve been a perfect show to air a month ago. TripleMania part 1 is supposed to air on the Sunday show, so everything TV wise is getting pushed back a week. Not clear if TripleMania part 2 (or any more parts) will be on the internet this weekend.

Today’s big Arena Mexico event is the second block of the CMLL Universal tournament. Terrible won the first block, which normally means one of the tecnicos – La Mascara, Marco Corleone, Diamante Azul, and Maximo – will be his opponents. Since foreigners are always more evil than the vilest rudo, Tanahashi also stands a chance.

Terrible and La Mascara are the two whom make the most sense as possible winners, so I’m leaning towards Mascara winning this week and Rush playing some role in the final. Terrible facing (and defeating) Rush’s buddy Marco would work as well, so he has a chance. More so than Maximo, who would need a dominated performance to be taken seriously. Diamante Azul vs Terrible does not seem like a good match right now. Tanahashi vs Terrible would have problems coming up with a finish that wouldn’t annoy one promotion, it’s much more likely Tanahashi gets beat in a lame way tonight.

The Gen12 guys didn’t have much interesting to say in their debut. Akuma has no idea when he was debut. I want to type “no continues” again but I’m pretty sure I’ve gone over my limit of Street Fighter II jokes.

LuchaWorld has video of Mascarita Dorada vs Pierrothito for the Mexican National Lightweight Championship.

Rob has highlights of 08/07 CMLL C3.
