The article also mentions Hijo del Signo is among those challenging for freshly vacated Distrio Federal weight division titles. This week’s SuperLuchas explained it a bit, though it was a small part off a controversy over who got approved to run lucha shows as Mexico City Fair: previous promoter claims commissioner Fantasma pushed him out for the the new promoter (OCESA, fronted by El Signo), Fantasma says he’d never do such a thing. The fair is having lucha matches every hour, using a lot of CMLL talent, and the Fantamsa interview mentioned they’d be involved in the title matches, but didn’t really explain. This article says their was a tournament last weekend, setting up these finals:
04/15: Demus vs Astral [DF LIGHT]
04/??: Sensei vs Leono [DF WELTER] – maybe this is also the 15th?
The middleweight tournament will take place this Saturday, the light heavyweight tournament will take place this Sunday, and the heavyweight tournament will take place on 04/14. I would like information, but can not find any, on any of this tournaments. The article that brings all of this up mentions Signo is in the middleweight tournament. Perhaps 04/15 is all the title matches. All shows start at 2pm.
Lucha Libre Fan Fest (05/19) has announced Dos Caras, Nosawa, Super Pinocho, Villano III (and sons), Sicodelico, Lizmark, Los Traumas, for it’s autograph signing, Sasuke the Great, Io Shirai, and five wrestlers from the Japanese Diamond Ring promotion (the ex-Kensuke Office)

I have no idea how the minis get away with working those shows.

Does it means that the Santo and CMLL relationship has been restored?
@snatodomen: It means the minis are sneaking under the radar (or oddly exempted.)
@thecubsfan: Or CMLL just doesn’t care about the minis enough to keep tabs on where they’re working.
