A singles match featuring the (arguable) biggest rivaly between young stars totally gets blow out of the water by a women’s title match.

harsher the second time

Rush vs Terrible: About the same level as the previous matches. They didn’t really do all that much early, then just got to the near fall kicks out bets. Needed a bit faster or a bit harder, and didn’t quite make it either way. I guess you can do run-ins in non-title matches that you can’t do in title ones.

a double knee for a double knee

Ayumi vs Marcela for the CMLL World Women’s Championship: It seemed a little bit of a surprise this match got to be the main event, but it was completely the right call. These two were moving a million miles per hour and taking it to each other; there was no way Rush & Terrible could follow it. They did such a strong job from early on that Ayumi could’ve won in straight falls and it wouldn’t have really hurt Marcela, Ayumi just looked that good. Ayumi as the ruda worked perfect, all it took was pushing her normal peppiness past the point of annoyance. They’ve got to keep finding reasons to bring her back. Marcela was equally great, this was really the title win she deserved to have. The crowd loved this match, but it was a great match so of course they should’ve loved it.
