There’s some video at the link too. I can’t tell if there was actually a Brazo/Villanos match (or who was in it), or if it was just a reference. VIP’s website appears to be http://luchasvip.com.mx/. Lots of Flash.
Lourdes Grobet’s lucha photograph will be exhibited at some of the DF subway stations.
The Box Y Lucha comission of Torreon will be holding tournaments for the state titles starting in Feburary. Can’t tell if they’re reseting the titles or introducing new ones. (El Siglo de Torreon.)

Maybe I misunderstand it a little bit, but wasnt this CMLL VIP show a small venue show the same night as Arena Mexico? If so, why is that match main eventing the small show, and NOT Arena Mexico? At least to me that seems to be a much bigger match, on paper at least.
The VIP show was held the day after, on Dec 2, and was put up by indy promoters, Wagner Jr is the one more related to CMLL right now and even he’s an independent… on paper, it is the biggest match possible right now, but Arena Mexico ‘fans’ have grown smart about it, and they know that masks matches are not comming off from that, so if they attend, they keep booing and make this kind of match hard to work. That doesn’t happen in smaller arenas.
I haven’t noticed that Siglo on line doesn’t print the full notes… lucky thing, I’ve got the paper right here and… well it looks as if they’re creating/restarting new titles. It is probably just a plot by the ByL comission to get some money, since the main arenas already have their local titles asigned and it doesn’t look likely that they will be unified here. The comission is hoping in holding a big show in Auditorio Municipal, but I don’t really think they can have a good draw here, besides, they were talking about Torreon, which is about 60% of the Laguna population (Torreon has 560,000 p.)
I screwed up the date on that – it should be the Saturday.
The promoters for the show bought the rights to CMLL name and the CMLL undercarders, but I’m thinking they paid extra to get the big name indy guys like Santo and Demon.
