18) Shocker, Universo 2000 DQ Kenzo Suzuki, Marco Corleone

Ocampo didn’t have a tournament match timed longer than 5 minutes, and the main event was 6:30. (But the segunda got 15 minutes, so I hope that makes air.) Bucanero was joined by Shocker & Universo to celebrate his title win, which caused the main event rudos to attack, and things transitioned right into that match. Tecnicos won in straight falls, with Kenzo low blowing Universo in the second.

Attendence was noted to be no better than it’s been the last few weeks.

No idea on the Lizmakr Jr. non-injury. Ovaciones isn’t working for me this morning.

Guerreros del Ring has
10/27: Hombre sin Nombre, Okumura, Sangre Azteca b Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Texano Jr.
10/29: Heavy Metal, Mistico, Volador Jr. b Black Warrior, Marco Corleone, Olimpico

AAA is the Pena tribute show.

Robert says Macho II dropped his mask in the Castle of Terror match.

  1. I don’t know if this tournament is a kind of WWE’s old King of the Ring type which would promise the winner the next push, but I really hope this win will be a reboost for Bucanero. He’s already got the shaft one too many times.

  2. Wow, the Arena Mexico segunda. So if the Hooligan match airs on CMLL TV today – that means Fabian El Gitano and Leono makes TV twice on the same weekend!:o

Koslov/Wagner was the longest match at 4:51 and Lizmark Jr./Atlantis thankfully only got 1:05. O’Campo made sure to mention nobody cared about the action in the ring b/c the matches were so short and the card seemed quite repetitive. Ovaciones took the opposite route and said Bucanero/Garza was a good match even though it only went 1:15 or so.

I’d sacrifice the Hooligan match in exchange for the entire Arena Mexico show airing since I want to see the mini’s and segunda. But if no mini’s, they better air the Hooligan match! Knowing CMLL though, it’ll be Coliseo segunda and a commercial between every 4th match to stretch the tournament out over an hour.

BTW, Tzuki dedicated the match to his father who passed away on Thursday.:(

  3. Nice episodes of GDR and FSE this week

AND VOLADOR JR BACK WHERE HE RIGHTFULLY BELONGS NEXT WEEK!!! :D

Might even have Ramstein and Starman making TV too!. Dunno if we’ll have a 1-on-1 match added tomorrow or maybe the Elimination tourney thing will take up the equivalent of 2 match spots.

Sadly, i think the Arena Mex segunda typo means it will be a womens match next week as the Stuka/Purpura/Virus team looks to have just been mistakenly left in from last weeks lineup

The CMLL main programme is really going to suck today though! Whoever decided to run these tournaments as 1-on-1 eliminations as opposed to Ciberneticos, needs fired.

  4. I wonder how many people in Mexico are going to look at that segunda next week and not realize it’s a typo. :)

Not an awesome lineup next week but still better than this week’s. Main event could be fun. And at least there’s no Groon/Ogun/Mictlan to be found on next week’s lineups.

  5. 4:00 – 4:14 = Intro to TV show + commercials

    4:14 – 4:17 = first fall of Coliseo match

    4:17 – 4:22 = commercials

I gotta find out if Galavision has that many commercials during all their shows.

  6. I liked the Coliseo opener only b/c it had lots of highspots and very little stumbling around doing nothing as in past weeks.

CMLL.com lists a Sunday Coliseo Torneo(or tournament?) for a shot at NEGRO CASAS’ CMLL MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE. I wonder if:
    a) CMLL ignores that Averno won the belt.
    b) Totally erases any mention of the match from the website and makes a new card.
    c) Replaced “Negro Casas” with “Averno” and rebooks the match so Felino wins instead of Goto.

  7. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

After wasting the first 55 minutes on the show for one Coliseo match…

THEY EDITED OUT THE ENTIRE FIRST ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT!:D

God bless CMLL b/c I woke up in a bad mood and now I can’t stop smiling.:D

  8. Thank goodness for the multiple ref cams or I might have actually seen some of the moves!

    Arriba Jose Luis Feliciano!

  9. Oh thank god… I was worried we wouldn’t get to see any entrances tonight but they saved that up for the final. This saves the show. Yes it does.

  10. hehehe Baby Richard’s ref cam looks like a helmet they make kids who like to hurt themselves wear. I suggest they give each of those helmets to the CMLL booking committee.
