CMLL (FRI) 12/09/2011 Arena Mexico
1) Höruz, Leono, Sensei b Bobby Zavala, Bronco, Ramstein
Rudo screw ups led to the tecnico win.
2) Dragon Lee, Pegasso, Rey Cometa b Cancerbero, Hijo del Signo, Raziel
Tecnicos took 2/3. Cometa 450 splash on Signo for the win, knees to the chest. The twitter account noted Cometa was wearing one black glove, like Mano Negra used to.
3) Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Tirantes was referee again. Rudos jumped the tecnicos took take fall 1, tecnicos came back to win fall 2. Atlantis got Volador in an Atlantida, but Tirantes allowed the rudos to rip off Atlantis’ mask, and covered him for the win. Even though Atlantis’ crew have lost both matches in this feud, they still challenged for a trios match. The champions accepted, but took all the tecnico’s masks.
4) Último Guerrero b Jushin Lyger
UG won clean with the Guerrero Special.
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush b Averno, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla
Before the match, Rush & Maximo introduced their partner for next week – Marco Corleone. Averno earlier appeared to honor two Para-Pan American game medalists. Mascara & Sombra got Mephsito & Averno in the third.
6) Felino & Negro Casas DQ Blue Panther & Rey Bucanero
Panther gave Negro a sit down piledriver for the DQ. He tried for tombstone on Felino, but the ref broke it up.
Lights were turned off, making the empty seats much more invisible.
Piledriver usually means you’re out next week (though Negro is listed on the schedule), and Panther only has one Casas brother to deal with. He seemed to do the piledriver more with anger and less with planning though.
Looks like that’s it for Jushin Liger. He lost his title and lost cleanly on his way out, so they don’t appear to be setting him back up for a return any time soon.
Marco mentioned on Twttiter that he agreed to come back three weeks ago. CMLL really needed someone coming in to start to counter balance all the people leaving.
Ras de Lona was the show for vignettes of Mr. Niebla and Zacarias goofily announcing upcoming ticket specials. I need to put them up later if CMLL doesn’t. All Sunday shows are cut to 15 pesos for kids from 12/17 to 01/15 (including Christmas and New Year’s Day.) There was also Sagrado interview where he was surreally calm and explaining Sunday’s team up with Titan & Triton as his exploring his rudo side and suggested he might be doing it more in the future. Separately, Titan & Triton said they’d work harder to beat their rivals. Shocker was not mentioned.
The Lucha Olimpico tournament starts 12/18, on a Sunday fan appreciation show.
The CMLL match at the Toyko Dome is kind of just a grab bag of names
2) Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask, KUSHIDA, Mascara Dorada vs Atlantis, Valiente, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku
Also, Yoshihashi returns (as YOSHI-HASHI) to NJPW on the show. Not confirmed if it’s full time, but that’s my guess.
AAA’s regional show is NOT on the schedule, just the one hour show on the main network.
Fishman Jr., Hijo de La Park and Hijo del Medico Asesino are talking about forming a trio. Medico Asesino is staying involved in a lot of things for a guy who’s supposed to be going to FCW in a month or two.
Lineups
CMLL (FRI) 12/16/2011 Arena Mexico
***Sin Piedad, 2011***
1) Eléctrico & Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16 & Pierrothito
2) Dalis la Caribeña, Lady Apache, Marcela vs Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
3) Ángel de Oro, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Rey Escorpion
4) Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. [MEX TRIOS]
5) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero
6) Blue Panther vs Felino [hair]
Marco returns in the semimain. Maximo is also listed in Guadalajara, but probably will appear here. Negro Casas may not wrestler, based on last night’s injury angle.
This is another good night for matches. Tercera should be fun, title match should be too.

the AAA show is still listed to air on the Juarez affiliate tonight, but then again, it was listed last week, and it didnt air, see what happens.
Pairing Rey Bucanero with the Peste Negra guys after all what happened is another fine example of CMLL booking craziness. Some minutes later he and Negro Casas will be seconds for opposing sides.
@ringo: Think how Zacarias must feel. Here’s the guy who he helped turn into a star, then he gets kicked to the curb by him, and now he’s back. Total mind fuck on poor Zacarias!
CMLL has the right thinking by bringing back Marco Corleone to counter all the guys leaving. CMLL needs to bring in Latin Lover so that the pendulum can really swing in their favor. CMLL should also keep in touch with Hector Garza because it will only be a matter of time before Garza realized that Perros and AAA is a worthless dead end trap.
@Daniel: I don’t know if AAA is that much of a dead-end. IF TNA stops promoting with them, Hector could become a good top heel.
I push for Terrible replacing Negro in the semi-main
Sin Piedad lineup looks really great. Looking forward to a bunch of matches on the show. Hopefully when it airs on Samurai TV they can squeeze in the entire show as I’m presuming only 2 matches end up airing on Fox Sports since CMLL TV will be in year-end review mode by the time this is scheduled to air on TV.
Why do you think Negro won’t wrestle here or second in the main event? CMLL doesn’t do long-term storylines. Selling a tombstone is too much circus.:P
I could see a title change if they are looking to continue the Titan/Triton feud. Also since the challengers would be more trustworthy championship holders.
You know CMLL bringing back Marco is a good step, especially if they actually do something with him. The frustrating part is that they have the players or “names” to bring in the crowds but their confusing booking and paranoia about pushing someone consistenly is hurting them. Perhaps the less than stellar run of mistico in the WWEvwill make it less likely that they will get too many lu yadira under contract.
The most frustrating part is that I want CMLL to succeede, but right now it would be inspire of itself.
Lu Yadira = luchadors after my iPhone auto correct got done with it
Nice little build to the next show with the piledriver spot.
Somebody explain to me why Sombra and Averno aren’t on the show this friday?
There is really such a contrast between the hype/build for Guerra de Titanes and the hype for this. I can name a lot of matches for GDT off the top of my head just from following the blog and watching the shows, can’t say the same for Sin Piedad minus the main event.
Was LATV a repeat tonight?
@Mkpunk516: Hector MIGHT be a top heal for a while and if he is they’ll use him for a few months and then he’ll go back to being a random guy. As a Perro he will be just another one of Hijo del Perro Aguayo’s henchmen, and Hector will always have to take a back seat to Hijo del Perro Aguayo, evern though Perro Jr. isn’t good enough to tie Hector’s boots.
As much as AAA/Perros like to call CMLL a sinking ship the fact of the matter is that neither AAA or Perros are doing better than CMLL. Not only is CMLL the top promotion in Mexico but it is also the only respectable Lucha Libre promotion that is left over. Any luchador who has the opportunity to wrestle for CMLL would be wise to do so, and not fall for Konnan and Perro Jr.’s empty promises.
@Albert: Juárez channel 2 actually aired the show, I am guessing it started at 11pm local but I did not catch it on time… it was just a fluke I saw it.
I’m not sure if Primera was aired:
1) Mini Histeria & Tigre Cota vs Argenis & Mascarita Divina
The following I know were included in the program:
2) Dark Dragon & Tito Santana vs Sugi San & Súper Fly
3) Casandro, La Braza, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Pasion Kristal, Polvo de Estrellas, Yuriko
5) Gunner vs Monster Clown
6) Fenix & Jack Evans vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Halloween
@kortej:
Sombra and Averno are working the Guadalajara friday show.
Correct me if I’m wrong. LATV skipped the 11/22 La Mascara vs. Averno? I was traveling and need to catch up on the LATV stuff.
52MX has the expected matches. Though they ran so late that I just barely got the last count of the third fall.
LATV skipped the Mascara/Averno show and caught back up to last week’s C3 show.
ACM had the same 3) Angel Dorado Jr., Hijo del Ninja, Máscara Púrpura DQ Big Neurosis, Golden Boy, Simbolo match they’ve shown 6 times.
DAMN YOU AND YOUR TERRIBLE SCHEDULING TELEVISA! Another week of probably awesome AAA down the drain forever!
It’s probably too late notice (again) for anyone not actually sitting around with nothing to do now but AAA’s twitter seems to be saying the regional show airs in 10 minutes on the affiliates that didn’t air it yesterday afternoon.
Will Marco FINALLY get the CMLL HW title??
looks like Sunday afternoon ACM is off for UNAM coverage.
