  1. Anyone know what all made TV? Obviously the top 3 are a given, but did they manage to squeeze in the segunda? This nonsense of televisa often only showing a total of 3 short matches in a 2hr timeslot is a farce.

With GdR seemingly sticking to Sunday Coliseo, it looks like it’s either the main show or nothing to see the segundas, and this weeks looks awesome.

  2. Top 3 Henrik.

I still predict next week GdR will show the tag Coliseo main + Arena Mex segunda. Just to keep us on our toes.

  3. Damn, that sucks.

Really can’t see GdR showing an Arena Mex segunda Rob. I predict they’ll only do that again when it’s a womens match just to piss me off :(

However, the producers of this GdR programme do appear to have a liking for Pantera, so that at least gives me a bit of hope.

How on earth can they possibly only manage to show 3 10-12 minute matches in the space of 2hrs. Anytime in the past when the show lasted that length of time, you could guarantee 4, maybe even 5 matches, and they lasted just as long as todays. Last week was understandable with the torneo, but this week (and most weeks) is just unbelievable. I’m really quite pissed at the direction CMLL seems to be going just now….

It’s depressing the amount of CMLL stuff you know is going to be good-to-great (or at least if nothing else, fresh) which never sees the light of day at the expense of guys who you’re sick to the teeth of seeing every week going through the motions….

  4. CMLL doesn’t seem to care about how much time they have per week now. In the past they did and added extra stuff. Now they just know every week they will be showing the top 3 matches and that’s it, no matter how much time is available. Yesterday’s show was scheduled from 8pm to 10pm. It came on about 5 minutes late and between intros, commercials and a skit, the first match didn’t hit the ring till at least 8:22pm. They threw in a commercial during the match which they don’t usually do. Then there was a commercial, a Momentos featuring 4 spots from the Torneo and 1 from the women’s opener and another commercial. Already 9:00pm with 2 matches left. It’s all about filling time up now with pointless segments(i.e. Momentos) and skits(Niebla and Porky discussing CMLL booking).

The only way you’ll see an extended CMLL broadcast is if they are given 3 hours and then they can just air the entire show unedited which saves them any worries.

Also, be prepared for the worst as the World Cup starts in 2 weeks and assuming both shows aren’t pre-empted, they will probably be no more than 1 hour to 1 hour and a half for at least 4-5 weeks. AAA might lobby for 3 hours at night but I’m sure CMLL will just be willing to cancel their shows.
