This is long and took FOREVER.
If you haven’t been reading the comments and care, please note there’s no show at the Congress in Chicago this week. I am now upping my offer to $10 dollars.

Ovaciones has previews of the Coliseo and Aficion shows today. There’s a couple of quotes from Super Porky with the Coliseo one. I hope they were taken a while back and no one bothered to rethink using them, because Porky talks as if he’s still sitting around and waiting to wrestle for WWE. That’s bizarre.
There’s a random note in Ovaciones that Mima Shimoda from Japan could work the 50th Anniversary of Arena Mexico show in April.
Canadian TV Show W-Five did a story on Dark Angel and lucha libre this past week. They’ve got an article and links to the video on their site. I haven’t had a chance to watch the video, but the article is pretty good if you’re all together unfamiliar with her. Embellishments like “Stock was the star attraction in Arena Mexico’s 72nd anniversary match” may annoy people who follow closely.
Guadalajara’s sports hall of fame recently added a 15 member class. Included in this class was the original Rayo de Jalisco.
el Halcon NET #57 went up on Monday. This one has something for everyone.
– Interview with Atlantis. This one’s great.
Q: “Why do you use a mask?”
A: “So that people were not scared.”
Atlantis feels he’s still a tecnico, but since the fans showed him no respect, he’s acting as a rudo. But he’s still a tecnico. Don’t figure it out. He’s happy the kids have stuck with him as he’s turned rudo. He still wants that mask match with Dr. Wagner – Blue Panther doesn’t come up. Atlantis explains he’s stayed in good shape by eating his fruits and vegetables.
– Interview with Tigre Metalico. Talking about his missed dive injury, he said his injury brought him closer to his family and God. He and Blanco STILL want those Coliseo Tag Team Titles or the CMLL Tag Team titles.
– Interview with Super Comando, who ALSO wants the Coliseo Tag Team Titles. Let’s start a writing campaign/online petition to make this happen. Comando and Artillero are current Tag Champs of Queretaro, which I’m so not listing. They’re working with Flecha to make it a great trio. He’d also like to get a shot La Mascara for the Welterweight Title too. When Super Comando was young, he wanted to go to military school, so he jumped at the gimmick idea when Tony Salazar suggested it to him. He has the suastica on his mask only because he figured it’s good for being a rudo.
– Q&A with Leono. Leono says his real name is Leono. In his pictures here, he’s wearing tights which do have the Thundercats logo, if you really must know. He lists his best match as the Reyes de Air one, and I’d go with that too.
– Adiccion Luchistica talks about the upcoming anniversary show for Arena Coliseo, among other things, and Q&A with referee Tribilin.
– Short interview with (Mini) Fantasy, who’s got quite the awesome looking mask. His father (the original Fantasy?) and uncle were wrestlers. He’s feuding with Fire right now.
– News roundup: CMLL/indy Mascara Sagrada is still angry with AAA using that gimmick and AAA wrestlers at a futbol game.
Box Y Lucha #2756 is up
– cover is Perro trimpuhant.
– poster is LA Park with some little LA Parks. This poster I’d keep.
– fall out from the hair match. Perro says this was his greatest match ever, beating the top rudo in CMLL. He’s not going to let this die until he retires Universo. Universo, of course, is complaining about how he was cheated. Universo figures he won on points, basically. Both promise this won’t be the end.
– An article about Santo’s popularity out of the ring – the movies, the women, the action figures. There’s also talk about his comic strips and songs about him. The article refers to Santo’s passing as “Death put him in a hold he could not escape.” There’s another article about the feud and mask match with Black Shadow.
– Cassandro talks about his career between LLI in 1989 and AAA in today.
– Box Y Lucha knows how to spell Palumbo and Stamboli! YAY. Then they say Palumbo has confirmed he’ll return in May 12th. That is the WORST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER. I don’t think it’s actually happening, so we’re good. Chuck won’t say who brought them to Mexico in the first place, but immediatly goes on to talk about how great Ultimo Guerrero is. HMM. Palumbo: “If people thought we were bad before, we’re going to be worse!” Yes.
– Rambo’s weekly story about his career.
– on 02/28, el Retador died at an age of 38. His biggest matches were against Canek. He retired in 2001 to work elsewhere, gained a lot of weight, and that caused his health problems.
– there’s a new Vagabond in Monterrey, who’s just a fan of teh original one (who was a cousin of Huracan Ramirez). The original gave him an okay. He’s wrestled in Houston a bunch.
– A promotion called EWL plans on starting up in Mexico State. What does EWL stand for? Empresa Mundial Luchistica. There’s no typo – they thought an upside down M would look neater. They plan on using CMLL talent.
The posters of the Box Y Lucha Forum have reached the stage where many posters realize they can randomly say “[insert name here] has jumped to AAA!” and get people to take it seriously. Be wary.
More Covers: Super Luchas #153 goes arty with the picture of Universo being shaved. Lucha 2000 #309 also focuses on Perro holding Universo’s hair.
LLI has picutres and results from the OLX (hardcore) show at Arena Lopez Mateos this past weekend, and some pictures from a tribute rock/comedy show to Huracan Ramirez, with a lot older luchadores in the building.
Last week, Abismo (re)formed the Vipers with Histeria and Psicosis II. This week, Electro Shock gave him a Tombstone, and replaced him with the Vipers. Hator may or may not involved.

Weird looking Superlucha’s cover. O’Campo is again the editor, I hope the magazine can recover his past glory. The new logo looks better.
Yep, O’Campo made return to the magazine this week and incase you were wondering if he is an attention whore or not – click here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/supercomics/portada152.jpg
Now tell me where the “direction editorial” is on that cover.;)
I finally got to see the Sarah piece in full and she won me over big time. Really well done piece.
No GdR listings for this past week?:/
Here is the Guerreros Del Ring cover for this week:

I haven’t had time to check the tape, but I’m 83% sure it was what I called – Mexico segunda + Coliseo main event.
