12:21. Rudos took 1/3.
3) La Jarochita, Marcela, Princesa Sugehit b Amapola, Dalys, Metálica

CMLL promos: Rey Cometa talking about his wins, Sangre Imperial happy his father will be honored at H2L, and Angelito & Pequeno Olimpico building up a match. That appears to be a real feud, though it’s tough to be convinced anything is happening in the mini division.
Box Y Lucha interviews: segunda tecnicos, Marcela.
There’s video of the injury; it didn’t get caught live, but they found a second replay just before signing off. Valiente hit Euforia in the shoulder, spun, and his head went back first into the barricade. He was out instantly. Ovaciones brought up the comparison to La Parka, which was a different impact but in everyone’s mind with the seriousness of how it was handled. It does not appear to be as impactful. Valiente’s daughter says her father was in the hospital overnight, and he’s was discharged and went home today. Valiente’s next known scheduled match is Saturday in Arena Coliseo.
This seemed like a slightly better show than normal. You know what you’re getting in a Rey Cometa versus Tiger match and they gave you just that. The main event and the women’s match were better than usual.

1) Fantástico, Leono, Luminoso b Cholo, Guerrero de la Muerte, Jabalí
tecnicos took 1/3

Rudos took 1/3
5) Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón DQ Carístico, Diamante Azul, Volador Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3, the last when Sanson fouled Caristico.
That’s probably a singles match build; it’s tough to set up a trios title match when they’ve already got once announced for a month from now.
Halloween plans to retire on a show in Tijuana in May. That’s the last stop of his retirement tour, he told Criterio Hidalgo. Halloween says La Parka’s injury and death convinced him it was time to stay goodbye. Criterio Hidalgo is a Pachuca local paper and Halloween spoke about wanting to see Arena Aficion full one last time.
IWRG will have an open audition for luchadoras to join their new women’s division on 03/11. Ayako Hamada will be leading it, and it’ll be open to both current and aspiring women’s wrestlers over the age of 14. There are women’s wrestling promotions in Mexico but they seem to be women who train in classes with men. This would be an all women’s training group, as done in Japan.
The Heronia promotion/reality show had a second press conference yesterday. They had announced 48 women for this tournament originally, and they’re now divided into three teams. Ciclon Ramirez Jr., Mascara 2000, and Tinieblas Jr. are in charge of each team and the link has the team. Not sure if it’s a great look to have all men leading the women’s competition. The show still does not begin until April 3rd.
El Halcon magazine was relaunched at a press conference yesterday. The Halcon lucha libre magazine was a big deal through the 80s; a digital relaunch existed for a few years in the early 2000s. This newest version will focus more on photographs (70%) than articles (30%). They’re planning on selling it at arenas and digitally for 35 pesos ($1.82 USD) and will have new issues every two weeks. Their Facebook page is here; it’s not immediately obvious where one might by the magazine digitally.
Dorian Roldan spoke at the Sports Summit earlier today. No big news; he talked about the importance of listening to your fans and the advantages of being available worldwide. There’s a separate interview covering those same topics on Azteca’s site.
Aeromexico put a masked luchador on a plane and AAA people were part of the presentation. A Forastero tweet tagged Aeromexico, so there might have been a separate CMLL deal as well. Hope the plane isn’t booked somewhere else when people are scheduled to ride it. The life of a luchador sometimes involves
MLW announced Demus for their 04/18 show in Cicero. That means Mascarita Dorada is probably working that show as well. They’re almost enough to get me to an MLW show. Almost.
Puma King talks about being sent thru tables via Taurus on his newest vlog.

The “Thursday Night Wrestling” concept here is cheap tickets and a happy order (with free beer.) The Arena Lopez Mateos cancelation last weekend makes me concerned Mexico State fans just aren’t coming out for locals-only shows, but they’re at least starting with a big match.
