17:00. An earlier bit with Pagano, Chessman, Los Mercnarios, Psycho Clown and Konnan set up Psycho Clown taking Parka’s spot in this match. Demon & Wagner started brawling to the back during the match and never returned. Pagano beat Chessman for the win. Rey Escorpion ran out and attacked Psycho Clown, with he and Pagano left laid out to end the show.

Like the Torreon show last week, there were a few good matches but nothing outstanding. There’s a lot of moving pieces for storylines. The idea that Big Mami had to beat Maravilla to get the hair match was dropped to move along the idea quickly. That seems to say it’s happening on 12/14 for Guerra de Titanes. The Mamba/Pimpinela turn was sudden, though they were already on opposite sides at Heroes Inmortales. Perhaps they also have something for Guerra de Titanes. (Local advertisements say the card will be revealed on Tuesday.) A lot of the rest of the feuding was to build up the TripleMania Regia cage match. Daga/Cage/Flamita/Taurus was meant to be the great match of the show, but it didn’t really come together and the crowd didn’t care about it at all.

AAA is off of Twitch for a couple of weeks. They come back on 11/30 on Twitch in Veracruz and 12/01 not on Twitch in Monterrey.

Flamita has signed a one year deal with Ring of Honor

Flamita has signed a one year deal with US promotion Ring of Honor. He’s expected to start on their 12/13 Final Battle PPV. Hugo Savinovich mentioned a rumor of Flamita signing during today’s AAA show. I can confirm that rumor is correct, Flamtia has indeed signed with ROH.

Flamita debuted in Ring of Honor about a month ago, as an injury replacement for Mexablood partner Bandido. The substitution got a positive reaction for the promotion, Flamita impressed in his matches, and Ring of Honor seems to be on an annual autumn contract drive. Fellow guest wrestlers Dan Maff similarly did well in his return to Ring of Honor, who quickly signed him. The same concept seems to apply with Flamita: ROH liked what they saw and are motivated to make moves.

This contract is a significant career achievement for Flamita. A wrestler who was once considered too small for CMLL now has a deal with a US promotion. It isn’t technically Flamita’s first deal with a US group – a short stint with Lucha Underground ended unhappily, and this one can only end up better. It does mean some changes. Flamita has been a frequent guest wrestler in Dragon Gate since 2013. As best I know, that will come to an end for now and Ring of Honor will be top priority.

MLW and Impact both came up this past year as Flamita destinations in 2019. He did appear in both, but no deal was signed. Flamita wrestles in AAA but seems to be a freelancer there as well. ROH officially has an alliance with CMLL in Mexico but has not stood in the way of their wrestlers working AAA when CMLL hasn’t been interested in them. In practice, Bandido worked a lot less with AAA once ROH bookings took over, though he returns to the promotion later this month.

Flamita signing with Ring of Honor does not guarantee Bandido will re-signing with ROH; that’s still a possibility, just nothing was decided last I’ve heard. It’s a positive for Bandido to see ROH sign his tag partner and close friend Flamita, but they’re making their deals individually.
