Mephisto‘s promo (and one mentioned but not posted with Angel de Oro) points to a singles match. Terrible wore a Los Ingobernables jersey and T logo gear. That may have just been whatever happened to be in the gear bag that day.

Soberano and Templario talk up their match. If CMLL was thinking long term, Templario wins this National Welterweight title match, and then Soberano defeats him later for the vacant World Welterweight Championship. On the other hand, if they were thinking long term, they wouldn’t be having this match on Friday and then again two days later in the same building. (They might hold it off a week for that reason.)
Here’s where I think everything stands with CMLL & the Munoz family, given some time and one ROH show.
- ROH is going to continue using Rush as planned. They’ll be happy to use Dragon Lee too.
- NJPW is going to continue using Dragon Lee as planned.
- The ball is in CMLL’s court on how they want to deal with all of this but no one’s deferring to CMLL here.
- Rush will hold a press conference on Monday to talk about all of this, but I’m not expecting much more than some dates announced and a press conference. Maybe La Mascara shows up, and they roll out the new name.
- if CMLL is going to ever talk about this again, it’ll happen on Wednesday on CMLL Informa
- The next time CMLL & NJPW interact is the junior tag league announcement in mid-October.
- There’s already a poster out with Dragon Lee & Titan.
- A FantasticaMania announcement would typically be coming around those time
- The next time CMLL & ROH have to interact is when Ultimo Guerrero is due in later this year.
- Dragon Lee will probably be replaced on the Thursday Aguascalientes show since that seems a CMLL booking. Maybe The Crash and MDA shows too, though I’m less sure.
- If Paco Alonso was still around, none of this is happening like this. Rush says so in his video.
- Rush also supports Sofia Alonso in the video. My hunch is he might have still worked dates in CMLL as an independent – like Ciber is right now – had CMLL not fired Dragon Lee and himself. Rushing to fire them out of fear they were both going to quit first is not a decision that’s going to hold up well.
Both Bandido & Rush missed Sunday’s Ring of Honor show. Rush’s injury is said to be minor. Bandido’s may not be. He’d been working thru a knee injury since before Battle of Los Angeles. The ROH PPV was about as far as he could go. Bandido is expected to miss some time, though it isn’t sure how much.
The AAA in Los Angeles show has quietly disappeared from FITE TV’s schedule. It could be someone looked at that PPV buy data and decided it wasn’t worth doing again. It could be AAA’s transmitting the show a different method. It could be that the show is off at the moment. Nothing’s been announced but AAA waited until even later to announce matches for New York.
Lucha Libre Vanguardia added CIMA to their show on Thursday in Tulancingo. Which is random as heck, but I guess he might be in North America this week.
