Guerrero Maya was very upset with how the lightning match ended.
The actual news from this show was Princesa Sugehit being taken away via stretcher sometime after her match concluded. CMLL updated on Sunday to say Sugehit suffered a concussion and would be under observation for 72 hours. There didn’t seem to be an obvious moment in the match where a concussion occurred. She’ll likely miss Tuesday’s show in Guadalajara on that timeline.

Welcome back to Gilbert el Boricua saying all his catchphrases. Soberano Jr. talked about his title win, which should air on TV Mexiquense next Sunday. I recorded the premiere of the show and put it up on YouTube. It is exactly like every other CMLL TV show with matches they’ve produced over the last 15 years, 2-3 matches with nothing in between beyond the same generic ads. No one could bother coming up with a name for the show, it is that effort. It is the usual CMLL crew of announcers, including Julio Cesar Rivera, and it isn’t especially clear why they’re not streaming this show too.
Teleformula still has their CMLL show on the schedule. That was also airing Sunday matches. It may still be, given the odd selection of matches on TV Mexquiense. I’m not sure if it aired; it was pre-empted by news coverage.
Flamita returns to Dragon Gate starting Thursday. At least that’s the plan; coverage of the Sunday show in Guadalajara mentions Flamita dealing with a thigh muscle injury. Assuming he’s OK, Flamita will be joined by Draztick Boy and DTU’s Jimmy. It will be the first wrestling trip outside of Mexico for the former Nerd, who was the runner up in a “winner gets to go to Dragon Gate” match last February. (Moria won, Moria’s never gone, that was run by CIMA, CIMA is no longer in what we think of Dragon Gate, all these things could be unrelated.) On his podcast, Konnan said Flamita would be going to Dragon Gate for six weeks, which is probably the case for all three guys.
La Parka says he would like to face LA Park at TripleMania. That didn’t go well for him last time but he thinks the fans would like it. La Parka says he could face Dave the Clown but doesn’t think Dave is yet on the level of having an apuesta match on TripleMania.
La Presna looks back at Metalico’s career, can’t come up with any match that happened with him between 1992 and 2014, says it is a tragedy he won’t be wrestling for the fans any more.
Saturday at Arena Neza was an AAA focused show. The Wagner family won the main event over Psycho Clown, Texano Jr., and Maximo. Galeno del Mal did a bowling ball senton on Maximo and landed hard on Maximo’s leg. Maximo was unable to finish the match. There’s no update on his status.
Super Nova took Vasco Jr.’s hair on Revolucion Lucha Libre’s show on Saturday. On the undercard, Dragon Dorado wrestled as Legendario. Dragon Dorado was previously known as Vengador Radioactivo and won an Octagon reality show to get the character. He was working shows with Octagon and Octagon Jr. No one covering the show explains the name change, but the easiest explanation is he’s not working with Octagon any more. “Vengador Radioactivo” was also a character owned by someone in Xalapa, so he couldn’t just go back to his old name. By any name, he was a notable prospect a few years ago and won a tour to go to NOAH that never happened.
On the AnLLEL show in CAR The Crash on Saturday, Reyna Oscura took Star Queen’s mask in a ruleta rusa. Star Queen gave her name as Dulce María Carbajal Espinoza, 19 years old, 3 years a wrestler, from Neza. Not sure about the numbers; she seems to have been wrestling since 2014. She hasn’t wrestled since February 2018, so this might be someone coming back for one last match to lose their mask. In the undercard, a Heronia versus Drako intergender super libre match was supposed to be for the MWE (Matamoros) Extreme championship, only the commission said no. Not to the match, just to the title being on the line.
