lots of fouls. Demus & the Tiger both bled and feuded
7) Carístico, El Mesías, Garza Jr. DQ Cibernético, Sharlie Rockstar, Último Guerrero
Cibernetico & Sharlie betrayed UG but fouled Mesias too
Attendance seemed to be up a bit from the Alberto show in the same venue. I think Kaoz won three matches (2/4/6) and Revolution Lucha Libre won three matches (1/3/5) and I’m not sure what the main event finish was.

11) Aramis & Imposible b Dragón Bane & Hijo de Canis Lupus [IWRG IC TAG, #1 Contenders, final]
Aramis & Imposible move on to get a shot against Death Metal & Heddi Karaoui, which should be a weird match. As you can see, InterneTV did one of their random streams of the whole show. The picture quality is not so great but that’s also normal.
An AAA spot show with LA Park in Saltillo on Saturday was said to have drawn a full house of 6,000 people. That’s a big number but the photos seem to back it being full. They announced the next show locally would be June 7th and that it would be a TV taping. This would continue the 2019 trend of AAA going to places they haven’t taken a taping for a long time; the last Saltillo taping was in 2002.
This has been a rough stretch of CMLL shows. Tonight’s Puebla show might be a little bit better, though it’s no sure thing either. The main event has a rare teaming of young stars Cavernario, Dragon Lee and Mistico in a relevos increibles match against veterans Volador, Mephisto and Ephesto. There’s no particular reason this match is happening and it is unclear if it is leading anywhere, but at least it is a different match.
The semi-main is definitely not a new match. Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja face Bestia & Terrible one last time before Friday, with Atlantis & Templario as the extra men. Disturbio, Perverso & Virus face Fuego, King Jaguar & Pegasso. Halcon Suriano Jr., Arkalis & Astro are among those in the opening matches. The show streams on CMLL’s YouTube at the new later starting time of 10 pm.
El Planchitas says CMLL is talking to ESPN Deportes about picking up the show in the US but a deal isn’t done. Planchitas also says the Azteca US/CMLL deal split happened because of CMLL going back to Televisa, but CMLL’s been off Azteca since last September. It is the usual mix of things that may be true and things that are definitely not in that column. CMLL just didn’t bother to update the background for a while. They write that it was a Televisa call to replace the announcers.
Mini Psycho Clown successfully defended the AAA minis title last night. (It appears to be this show.)
Lineups
CMLL (SAT) 03/16/2019 Arena Coliseo
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Universo 2000 & Pequeño Violencia

3) Black Panther, El Audaz, Fuego vs Kawato San, Metálico, Misterioso Jr.

5) Kráneo, Soberano Jr., Volcano vs Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Vangellys
6) Gran Guerrero, Templario, Último Guerrero vs Diamante Azul, Valiente, Volador Jr.
They forgot the Isis/Marcela feud. Oh well.
CMLL (SUN) 03/17/2019 Arena México
1) Príncipe Diamante & Star Black vs Príncipe Odín Jr. & Yago
2) Fantasy, Shockercito, Último Dragóncito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito
3) Blue Panther, Drone, Rey Cometa vs Olímpico, Tiger, Universo 2000 Jr.
4) Flyer vs Hechicero [lightning]
5) Atlantis, Atlantis Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Dark Magic, Felino, Negro Casas
6) Diamante Azul, Místico, Niebla Roja vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
Olimpico exists again. It would be his first CMLL match since August and his first Arena Mexico match since last May. I assume it is an Okumura replacement, but I also assume CMLL has hundreds of people training who they could throw into that same spot. They have Star Black from Guadalajara for this show. He’s one of their top local guys, perhaps because he’s maybe part of the Rayo de Jalisco family.

Saltillo is the heart of Multimedios territory so maybe this strong turnout is a sign that the network is a good vehicle for AAA, especially in the north. It’s also a nice big middle finger to Televisa as we’re all hoping AAA can thrive without them.
CMLL on ESPN would be a disappointment. It’s weak. I wonder if ESPN is on CMLL’s radar because Fox Deportes probably can’t do a deal now that WWE is going to Fox. In my opinion any sports network is not ideal for Lucha like a general entertainment network is. I’d still be surprised if CMLL did not end up on Galavision or some Univision station in the US, under the Televisa-Univision PLA agreement.
