Again, not much going on today.
+LuchaTV streamed a Muchas Luchas (Guadalajara) show from October last night. I haven’t watched it, though I noticed the recap of the Traumas vs Rayman/Makabre match was noted as “violence and polemic.” They also filled a building for a show I didn’t even remember happened until I started looking up results.
The AAA/EMW show in Tijuana has Cage, Sammy Guevera, and Puma King along with the more regular AAA roster. That’s the weekend with no AAA TV taping right now.
El Exotico says he doesn’t feel 100% from the cervical injury that put him out for three and a half months but is working thru it.
Lineups
IWRG (SUN) 01/06/2019 Arena Naucalpan
1) Ángel Estrella Jr. vs Atomic Star
2) Chicanito & Mexica vs Fly Man & Neza Kid
3) Black Dragón, Chico Che, Juan Diego vs Death Metal, Shaolin, Tackle
4) Galeno Del Mal, Gato De Ecatepec, Manchitas vs Demus, Karaoui, Zumbi
5) Leo, Mike, Rafy vs Demonio Infernal, Eterno, Lunatic Xtreme
6) Aramis, Imposible, Rokambole Jr., Villano V Jr. vs Capo del Norte, Capo del Sur, Dragón Bane, Hijo de Canis Lupus
Kids get in free = a lot of young people on the show, and some who don’t work here often. I’d assume the Neza Kid in the second is Freelance’s son and not Freelance but one never knows with IWRG.
CMLL (MON) 01/07/2019 Arena Puebla
1) Black Tiger & Sombra Diabólika vs Ares & Guerrero Espacial
2) Astral, King Jaguar, Príncipe Diamante vs El Malayo, Fuerza Chicana, Joker
3) Súper Muñeco, Súper Pinocho, Súper Ratón vs El Perverso, Gallego, Rocky Santana
4) Kráneo, Niebla Roja, Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Felino, Mephisto
5) La Bestia Del Ring, Rush, Vangellys vs Diamante Azul, Hechicero, Valiente [Relevos Increíbles]
This is a bad show. Diamante Azul returns rather quick from his groin injury (though watching it from Friday, it didn’t come off as much of a groin injury.) That main event does not look good but the same is true for other matches on the show. It sticks out that Vangellys is in the main event; maybe they’re setting up a title match, maybe he’s just getting to team with his amigo Rush.
I guess Mr. Condor has better things to do be on a Puebla show on Monday night. I don’t blame him.
CMLL (TUE) 01/08/2019 Arena México
1) Bengala & Sonic vs El Coyote & Grako
2) La Jarochita, Princesa Sugehit, Skadi vs Amapola, Dalys, Metálica
3) Audaz, Flyer, Titán vs Kawato San, Okumura, Virus
4) Ángel de Oro vs Templario [lightning]
5) Carístico, Soberano Jr., Volador Jr. vs Gran Guerrero, Terrible, Último Guerrero
6) Dragón Lee, Místico, Rush vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón
The Munoz family is back together against the Dinamitas for one night only. This seems like a bigger name show than usual for a Tuesday, but that’s probably because it’s the final CMLL Mexico show for those heading out to FantasticaMania. Tour opening show is three days later. It is coming that soon and we still will not know which matches are happening for a couple of days.
CMLL (TUE) 01/08/2019 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Mágico, Magnum, Rielero vs Furia Roja, Maléfico, Tyson La Bestia
2) La Guerrera, La Vaquerita, Marcela vs La Comandante, La Seductora, Tiffany
3) Black Panther, Blue Panther Jr., Fuego vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Vangellys
4) Kráneo, Valiente, Volcano vs Ephesto, Euforia, Rey Bucanero
5) Niebla Roja vs Mephisto
Both Niebla Roja & Mephisto are champions, neither is putting a title on the line, none of it really matters. Fuego lives. No one going to Japan is working this show, so they might all be leaving directly after the Tuesday show.
