What happened:
Titan beating Sansón in straight falls sets up a title match.
Thoughts:
I thought the main event was a good build-up match for next week’s Cuatrero/Titan championship match. It still had enough going on this week to satisfy the fans who were there, and it had a couple of the strange touches that only otherwise seem to happen normally in Blue Panther matches. Double pins that don’t affect a finish are pretty rare outside of stuff he puts together, and Titan surprisingly turning around the first fall was an unusual twist. Titan beat Cuatrero in the first fall because the Dinamitas are (understandably) overconfident, and in the second fall just by outsmarting him, giving plenty of reason for him to win next week. The story didn’t allow for as much NGD offense as other matches but the técnicos carried that part of the match, and it felt like a full match despite only lasting two falls. It was a borderline good match.
My hot undercard take: hooray for Lluvia finally getting new gear after about a decade.
