CMLL (SAT) 07/22/2017 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Magia Blanca & Sangre Imperial b El Coyote & Templario
Magia Blanca replaced Sensei. Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Flyer, Fuego, Pegasso b Apocalipsis, Canelo Casas, Grako
tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Johnny Idol, Soberano Jr., Titán b Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Felino b Stuka Jr. [lightning]
5) Cuatrero & Sansón b Black Terry & Negro Navarro [Arena Coliseo TAG]
Cuatrero & Sanson win the titles, taking falls 1/3. Terry & Navarro fall on the 4th defense
6) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Valiente b Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys
Terry & Navarro as champs was neat while it lasted. Those two teams didn’t mesh well in their previous meeting and it sounds like this wasn’t much better, but it should set up for better things. And, while it’s not going to happen, I’d be thrilled if CMLL used this as the real tag team titles and defended them frequently if they’re never going to do anything with Shocker and Casas.
CMLL (SUN) 07/23/2017 Arena México
1) Eléctrico & Stukita b Mercurio & Pequeño Universo 2000

Team Cholo took 1/3, Cholo using the ropes to beat Canelo. Canelo wants a hair/hair match.
4) Dragón Lee, Soberano Jr., Stuka Jr. b Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora
tecnicos took 2/3.
5) Diamante Azul, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Cavernario, Felino, Negro Casas
Of all the feuds going on, CMLL is most on top of the Cholo/Canelo Casas feud. Nothing else oging on here.
Record has an interview with Sexy Star, which AAA put up as photo. Half of it is posted on Record’s site. She’s going with the idea that she never actually lost her mask in a match so it’s OK for her to put it back time. The only women in AAA she considers a rival is Faby Apache. (If you’re Hiedra, Shani, Big Mami and Goya Kong, you’re probably going to be in the same role until the next falling out.) She’s still planning to box, though she doesn’t mention when this time, just that she figures she can take a month or a month in a half off from wresting when it’s time to prepare for boxing.
Record also has an interview with Mascara de Bronce, who really wants that match with Johnny Mundo (even though he doesn’t have that briefcase yet.)
This week’s AAA show up. It’s a show. The real news is the tease of a Mundo/Kross split finally made screen this week. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I could see Bronce beating Mundo for the titles, Mundo blaming Kross and then Kross destroying Mundo right out of AAA as his write off – or at least, that was probably the plan back when they filmed this all in Nuevo Laredo. I strongly wish AAA didn’t put numbers on those briefcases: when the title shot briefcase has a 1 on it one week, a 4 on the next week, and a 3 on the following week, I feel like I’m wasting my time watching a dumb show.
Toro Road says they’re canceling the entire tryout now that Vampiro and Lucha Underground have pulled out, and insists they never took any money for the tryout. I hope that’s correct. This thing is just going to disappear right back into the ether from where it came.
This week’s La Parka column says there will be many surprises on TripleMania. This is very accurate because we know about 3 matches of a maybe 9 match card and I have no idea how they fit everything in or make sense of half of it. The press conference is Tuesday at the Polanco La Chilanguita restaurant. (time not said.)
Johnny Mundo made familiar anti-Vampiro comments on promos and at WrestleCircus (didn’t see) to try and get something out of the attention he’s getting for the AAA issue. It’s working better than the Cage/Adonis attempt at least. Without addressing the subject directly, AAA’s Twitter account said there had been no changes in the AAA championships this week – as far as AAA is concerned, Johnny Mundo is still triple champion. Maybe that changes Tuesday, but this is a time to pay attention to actions and not words if you’re trying to figure out what’s going on.
Zeuxis is announced as appearing in REINA on 10/25. They also say the CMLL World Women’s Championship will be defended. CMLL’s Facebook mention assures the reader it’ll be Dalys if she’s still champion at that time, but the poster interestingly doesn’t include a photo of Dalys.
Sometimes The Crash wrestler Mr. 450 is now going by The Mecha Wolf. He told contralona he changed names to get away from bad things from earlier his career associated with the Mr. 450 name and start new. (He seemed responsible for some of those bad things.)
Roshfrans posted an interview with La Llave A La Gloria participant Hijo del Vikingo. He is very good, and mentions he’s the Puebla indie luchador King Vikingo.
Octagon says Promociones Ring Side, which ran a show on June 24 in Mexicali, hasn’t paid him or many other wrestlers on that show.
LuchaWorld has the latest news update.
