1) Akuma, Hijo del Signo, Inquisidor b Bengala, Príncipe Diamante, Sensei
2) Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro, Pierrothito b Eléctrico, Fantasy, Último Dragóncito
3) Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Tiger b Pegasso, Soberano Jr., Starman
Starman replaced Triton on Tuesday afternoon. Misterioso pulled Soberano’s mask off after teh match
4) Virus b Fuego [lightning]
replaces a Sugehit/Zeuxis title match
5) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero b Dragón Lee, Marco Corleone, Mistico
Niebla Roja didn’t get along with his partners but they still won, taking falls 1/3. Roja cleanly beat Dragon Lee in the third but wouldn’t share the victory with his teammates.
6) Máximo Sexy © b Terrible [CMLL HEAVY]
10th defense. Said to be a good match. Maximo took 1/3.
The main event got good reviews. The semimain is watchable at least for the finish, where Ultimo Guerrero is a little amazed at Niebla Roja’s behavior; the Guerreros are going to tear Roja to shreds some day soon.
Okumura is recovering from his neck operation.
Medio Tiempo has an interview with Dorian Roldan up from yesterday’s press conference. Dorian says not to rule out Lucha Underground wrestlers from appearing in Impact Wrestling. That fits with what was presented yesterday, but does not fit with how Lucha Underground has handled this situation in the past.
Infamously, Hernandez tried to leave LU to rejoin Impact in 2015, told Impact he had gotten a release from LU, wrestled on their tapings, and then was fired (and all the footage deleted) when LU legally informed Impact that Hernandez was still under contract to them and not allowed to appear. This would be more a willing copromotion than that, for sure, but I’m not sure the situation has changed all that much. Eric Van Wagenen, in recent podcast appearances talking about Pentagon and other’s situations, said everyone is welcome back for season four just as long as they do not appear on another US TV show. He was more emphasizing the welcome back part of that equation, but we’ve got one person in a position of power saying there’s just one rule, and another person saying they’re going to break that one rule. I dunno.
The one thing that has changed since the Hernandez stuff is Dorian Roldan is now VP of all the wrestling side of Lucha Underground, so maybe that gives him more power in making these decisions? Or maybe it’s only covering live events and MGM and other investors would still have power over TV appearances? Remember, the other Impact/LU incident was Marty Elias getting blurred out on Impact when they showed part of a The Crash show. That wasn’t really an AAA issue, and I don’t think AAA wanted it to be an issue since they were working on their own deal with The Crash, but there wasn’t much AAA could do about it. AAA hasn’t seem to be able to make all the LU decision in the past. Maybe there’s some deal here – AAA doesn’t get in LU’s way of using Pentagon/Sexy Star/etc, LU gives AAA a pass on doing minor stuff with Impact – but it’s AAA, so I default back to not believing they’ll be able to actually do these things they’re talking about doing until it actually happens.
I have very limited interest in going to C2E2 this weekend for the Lucha Underground panel – it’s $35 and parking to hear stories I’m pretty sure I’ve heard on podcasts already – but one reason to go is because Van Wagenen & Roldan are both on the panel and maybe they’ll figure this out in real time on the stage. Or maybe they won’t and that’ll be fun too. (That panel will actually be people asking Rey, Mundo, Taya, Melissa and Vampiro why they’re so awesome and they will thank the fans for calling them awesome.)
Dorian said the alliance between Impact & AAA isn’t competition to LU. He sees LU as a TV show and a different product. The Dorian interview also mentions AAA (or maybe LU?) will soon be airing in parts of Africa. No specifics there, but just an example of how they’re trying to expand around the world, in addition to their efforts in the US.
Hijo del Fantasma said the usual things about the alliance with Impact Wrestling. He seems to think Jeff Jarrett’s wrestling and would like to face him. La Parka thought the same in a Record article not posted online. Jarrett wasn’t specifically announced as wrestling and hasn’t wrestled much since taking back over Impact, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was in the ring at TripleMania given his history.
Both Luciferno and Hooligan are scheduled in the main event of tomorrow’s Arena Olimpico Laguna, which is a little odd since Luciferno is the former Hooligan. Maybe he gave his son the Hooligan character.
DTU announced Jimmy Lloyd and Markus Crane for their June/July tour.

Hetzza took the loss in a three way title match, after taking a pinfall loss in a tag match the day before. Her trip to Stardom is probably going to more successful as a learning experience than with victories.
An interview of Ciudad Victoria’s Rocker Boy, a 41 year old luchador who’s a 26 year vet.
Ex-CMLL mini and alleged age faker Angelito has resurfaced wrestling in Oaxaca for Kid’s Day.
Lineup
IWRG (SUN) 04/23/2017 Arena Naucalpan
1) Signo Arkano vs Keiser Drago
2) Aramis & Kanon vs Atomic Star & Lunatik Xtreme
3) Pantera I vs Hip Hop Man
4) Black Dragón, Bobby Lee Jr., Hijo del Alebrije vs Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Picudo Jr.
5) Imposible vs Emperador Azteca
6) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo vs Cerebro Negro, Demonio Infernal, Eterno, Hijo de Pirata Morgan
7) Trauma I & Trauma II vs Black Terry & Diablo Jr. © [IWRG IC TAG]
second defense
No Wednesday show this week. The Traumas beat the champs back on the 5th so an IWRG title match makes some sense. Imposible in a title match is probably good news.
CMLL (TUE) 04/25/2017 Arena México
1) Flyer & Magnus vs Canelo Casas & Espanto Jr.
2) Oro Jr., Starman, Stigma vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Metálico, Sangre Azteca
3) The Panther vs Sagrado [lightning]
4) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys vs Drone, Esfinge, Guerrero Maya Jr.
5) Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Johnny Idol vs Gran Guerrero, Luciferno, Mephisto
6) Dragón Lee, Mistico, Valiente vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Niebla Roja repeatedly beating Dragon Lee while breaking up with his partners would be an amusing development. Lightning match could be good. Magnus & Stigma booked on a Tuesday means they’re probably not wrestling on Friday (and so aren’t winning their Copa Junior block.) at least Magnus made the Copa Junior, Flyer couldn’t get even get that.
CMLL (TUE) 04/25/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Sky Kid & Smaker vs Joker & Sádico
2) Acero, Cosmos, Último Dragóncito vs Mercurio, Pierrothito, Relámpago Azul
3) Pegasso, Rey Cometa, The Panther vs Forastero, Puma, Tiger
4) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Máximo Sexy vs La Máscara, Pierroth, Sam Adonis
5) Diamante Azul vs Rush
I’m OK with missing the main event. The tercera sounds good except for The Panther having to be in two places at the same time. I wonder if it’s a Blue Panther Jr. sub (and so he’s not actually wrestling Friday) or if they just put in a name for Triton.
