This seemed like a good show from the parts that I’ve paid attention to. The timing on the lightning match was incredible. It looked like they were going for the time limit draw and yet finished the match just barely in time, with the referee making exactly the right speed count. Or maybe the wrong speed – it is CMLL, they may have meant it to be a draw. (Everyone reacted like it was supposed to go just like it did, I dunno.) You should watch the semimain.

Title match sounds like it went well.
Impact Wrestling officially announced their partnership with AAA in a press release. The press release doesn’t say much – there’s some mention of talent sharing – and is more interesting for what it doesn’t say. The Crash isn’t mentioned, sort of alluded to as an ‘other’ group they have a deal with but specifically not mentioned by name. Impact never issues a similar press release with that relationship.
The Crash & Konnan have been unusually quiet about this situation. Maybe something will come out when the WON comes out tonight, but it’s odd they’re not upset about this. Maybe they’re getting something out of it, or Konnan doesn’t want to jeopardize his return to Impact.
AAA says invites went out for the second La Llave a la Gloria tryout. They haven’t publicly said when that will take place, but do say people who haven’t heard back should not worry because they plan on having more.
Garza Jr. says he’s signed a one year deal with Impact. If Laredo’s on the next taping, I think we can assume the same thing. Laredo hasn’t said anything on his main Facebook account (and I forget what his other one is.)
At a press conference for Friday’s DTU Arena Aficion, Crazy Boy and DTU officials explained the talent search contest they’ve been doing. They want to continually find & add new wrestlers to their promotion, and they’re building to a tournament to be held at the next DTU Anniversario show (December.) They’ve also gotten a sponsor who will pay for the tournament winner to go to Japan for a month and train with Dragon Gate. At the press conference, Crazy Boy said they’re trying to get other international promotions involved as well.
Lucha Underground is airing another four episodes today – and four more episodes this week. El Rey’s schedule shows two episodes airing Thursday and Fridays, continuing the order they’ve had so far. The numbers on the repeats aren’t blowing anyone away, but El Rey must be happy with them if they’re expanding the number they’re airing. They’ve never aired this many episodes a week outside of marathons. One advantage of Lucha Underground over traditional wrestling program is it seems easier to repeat. The much disputed cost of each episode is mitigated a bit if El Rey’s airing those episodes many times. (It’d be mitigated even more if they were selling BlurRays of the show, but baby steps.)
This new LU airing plan means Season 2 ends on this Friday, instead of next week (or weeks from now if they were still airing two a week.) El Rey will be thru Season 3 in about three weeks. It seemed like the last plan was to repeat the episodes in order so they’re caught up right before airing the new episode next week. Maybe that return has been changed, or maybe they’ll air so many to do another complete cycle prior to May 31st.
Televisa Deportes announced the AAA focused Zona Ruda talk show returns on March 27th on 9pm. It’s nice press for AAA, though nothing much came out of the previous shows (or at least nothing we heard about.)
Princesa Sugehit kept the national women’s title over Zeuxis in Arena Coliseo Monterrey. The ERLL show with CMLL luchadors drew about a half house against Rey de Reyes. Alberto Dos Rios is out of retirement, but now going with the name Príncipe Legendario. Atlantis & Mistico submitted Ultimo Guerrero & Gran Guerrero in the main event.
Ayako Hamada credits Perro Aguayo Jr. for inspiring her to win the Reina de Reinas championship.
LuchaWorld has the latest Lucha Report.
CMLL is hyped for Niebla Roja/Dragon Lee. Not hyped enough to actually tape the match on Sunday, but hyped somewhat.
Sorpresa es Lucha talks about the weekend’s big shows.

Lineups
IWRG (WED) 03/22/2017 Arena Naucalpan
1) Omega vs Power Bull
2) Alas de Acero, Aramis, Shadow Boy vs Araña de Plata, Atomic Star, Lunatic Extreme
3) Diablo Jr. vs Black Dragón
4) Cadilac, Emperador Azteca, Kanon vs Avisman, Eterno, Ovett
5) Pantera vs Demonio Infernal
6) Freelance, Golden Magic, Imposible vs Cerebro Negro, Heddi Karaoui, Relámpago
IWRG announced this card last night for a show today; I had just assumed they weren’t doing a Wednesday card this week. Ovett broke Vortize’s face last week, and seems unfair he’s back when Vortize isn’t back (though I’m sure it was an accident.) Both singles matches could be good.
CMLL (TUE) 03/28/2017 Arena México
1) Magia Blanca & Sangre Imperial vs El Coyote & Grako
2) La Vaquerita, Sanely, Silueta vs Dalys, Metálica, Reyna Isis

4) Titán vs Bobby Villa [lightning]
5) Drone, Guerrero Maya Jr., Máximo Sexy vs Puma, Terrible, Tiger
6) Atlantis, Matt Taven, Valiente vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja
Matt Taven is never going home. Titan/Bobby should be fun. Fifth match could be as well.
