Recapped: 02/02/2017
What happened: Not much. Los Ingobernables fouled and unmasked Diamante Azul for the main event DQ, and that’s about it.
What was good: The opener was the match I enjoyed the most. The rest of the show seemed like lesser version of matches seen elsewhere or just not interesting.
Where can I watch it: It’s on CMLL’s YouTube channel and a few matches will air in a couple weekends on 52MX

Winner: tecnicos (2/3)
Match Time: 11:44
Review: [good] This was a more energetic opening match than usual, if a bit chaotic at times. Probably being generous with the grade because it was just more watchable than usual for this spot. Malayo looked good and didn’t try to kill anything, Sombra Diabolica a nice impression, and Meyer & Paris stood out on the técnico side. Ares was annoying in the second fall and slowed things down compared to everyone else. No one but Los Ingobernables should be doing fake corner charge spots, least of all opening match old man Ares. It doesn’t make him look good to be mimicing main eventers. Finish really comes out of nowhere.
Match 2: Acero, Aéreo, Asturiano vs Demus 3:16, Mini Joker, Pierrothito

Winner: rudos (2/3)
Match Time: 15:56
Review: [ok] A decent minis match but nothing special. The rudos seemed much more energetic when they were running the match then when the tecnicos were in charge. The first fall just felt slow and the reset didn’t follow it much. Acero & Aereo have been teaming with so often that they’ve developed an actual tag team finisher and now just need a lot more spots and to be smooth in those spots. (They looked best with Pierrothito). Mini Joker didn’t have as much chemistry with Demus but still is an energetic performance.

Match Time: 18:11
Notes: Triton is wearing a USA flag outfit (and the GALLI belt)
Review: [ok]
Misterioso and Triton doing six minutes of grapplling before hitting the ropes was an odd way to start this out. It was fine, but it was really long for two guys to be in to just be doing OK stuff. The rest of that fall was a little better, but it slowed down a lot as the rudos took over and never really recovered totally. The técnico section was hotter, especially with the double dive, sequence but it was hard not to be checked by that point. Triton looked off a little the second fall, better around. Sagrado was smooth setting up one spot to the next.
Match 4: Atlantis, Dragón Lee, Titán vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Arena Puebla, 01/30/2017

- técnicos
- Atlantis Atlantida Último Guerrero (3:44)
Winner: tecnicos (1/3)
Match Time: 12:04
Review: [ok] Standard Guerreros match, kind of painfully so. There was little that they’re not doing three times a week right now, and not even performed at the usual levels. (The second fall comeback to end game looked messy.) Niebla Roja wasn’t landing his shots well and looked like the weak link. Dragon Lee had a night off, at last relative to normal. Último Guerrero was magnetically pulled straight into the Atlantida like normal. Nothing here that hasn’t been seen better other times.
Match 5: La Máscara, Máscara Año 2000, Rush vs Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Máximo Sexy in a relevos increíbles match
Arena Puebla, 01/30/2017

- DQ Rush [foul Diamante Azul] (6:07)
Winner: tecnicos (2/3)
Match Time: 10:00
Notes: Rudos jumped the técnicos when Diamante Azul entered. Match ended with Rush fouling Azul and La Mascara unmasking him. They shove down La Mascara for calling the DQ.
