IWRG (SUN) 01/08/2017 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, Estrellas del Ring]
1) Black Dragón b Araña de Plata
2) Demonio Infernal, Diablo Jr., Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro b Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo
Mike was hurt after a Demonio move.
3) Hip Hop Man, Pirata Morgan Jr., X-Fly b Emperador Azteca, Freelance, Hijo del Alebrije
X-Fly’s first IWRG match in 11 months.
4) Veneno b Danny Casas
Veneno won with a martinete in a bloody match, and challenge for a hair match
5) Herodes Jr., Negro Navarro, Trauma I b Dragón Fly, Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Pantera
Trauma I used the ropes to beat Mascara 2000. Pantera was stretchered out after hitting the barricade on a missed tope. Trauma I wants a title match, Mascara wants a super libre match first. Herodes first match in IWRG since September.
6) Imposible © DQ Relámpago [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
mistakenly listed as Welterweight on poster. Third defense. Impossible won by DQ when Apolo Estrada Jr. returned and caused the DQ. Apolo wants a match with his hair vs Relampago’s mask vs Imposible’s title.
7) Pirata Morgan DQ Mr. Electro
Pirata hit the ref with a chair and blamed it on Electro. Pirata wants a heavyweight title match. Electro wants a hair match.
A title match ending with someone else running in to foul the champion to set up a different match is not a great ending. (Also, not sure why Imposible or Relampago should want to put up what they have against Apolo’s hair.) They seem to be setting up another big show, or a month of a lot of matches: that triangle match, Pirata/Electro, Trauma/Mascara, Veneno/Casas.
Dragon Rojo defeated Delta in Arena Pavillon del Norte. Delta challenged for a title match next week and Dragon Rojo accepted it anyway. I wonder if Dragon Rojo is just not allowed to lose, but there still has to be a better way of doing that; if people get title shots for losing, then what do the titles actually mean?
Makabre took Dakota’s hair in Jalisco.
Today’s CMLL show is in Puebla. The main event is a rematch trios, with Atlantis, Caristico and Maximo against Cavernario, Gran Guerrero and Negro Casas. Casas snuck a win on Caristico last week, and they seem headed to a singles match in the next couple of weeks. The seminain is Johnny Idol, Marco Corleone and Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible and Vangellys. The Panthers & Titan take on Invasors (Kraneo, Olimpico, and Ripper); we’ll get to find out if the Blue Panther Jr./Ripper stuff lasts for any more than one weekend. The second match is a mini/locals combined match, with Puebla’s Astro teaming with Shockercito and Ultimo Dragoncito against Espiritu Maligno, Mini Joker and Pequeno Violenca. That might be the best match on the night if not for Violencia. The show will open with Centall Roja, Meyer, Millenium versus Fuerza Chicana, Guerrero Espacial and King Jaguar.
CultIcon previews the show. It’ll air on CMLL’s YouTube channel at 9pm Central Time.
CultIcon also has a lucha libre to Blue Panther.
Segunda Caida reviews LA Park vs Rush in Tijuana.

Man if you cannot remeber that Navarro and Terry won those then what hope does CMLL have?
How did I forget that? Discouraging.
What the hell Cubs. I went looking to find when the titles changed again.
