There’s nothing really that important on this show but it’s a slow day. This theme park is running a show about once a month; the next card has Dragon Lee & a Hijo de Rey Mysterio vs La Mascara & Flamita main event for some reason. Better luchadors are in semimain, but promoters really believe any Rey Mysterio is a draw.
Rush & Naito won today in NJPW’s World Tag League. They’re up to 3-2, 6 points, with two matches left, and two points behind the leaders. One of those matches is against a team unlikely to get a win in the tournament, so they’re sure to go into the final day (December 7th) being in play for 1st place in the block.
Dragon Rojo Jr. announced Bobby Z was finally officially in the Revolucionarios trios. It looks like they were shooting promo photos in CMLL, so perhaps they’ll actually be booked as a trio.
Hechicero talks about his first Friday main event tomorrow.
Dragon Lee is off to Ring of Honor for his PPV match on Friday. They’ve announced he’ll be in a three way match with Will Ospreay and Kushida on the TV taping on Sunday.
Mil Mascaras says a lineup advertising him for a 12/04 show in Ciudad Juarez is false; an unauthorized person has been acting as his booking agent.
This is for nothing particular reason, except I was staring at the AAA TV chart trying to figure out what would air this weekend, but I’m guessing Guerra de Titanes is 01/20. Unless something weird happens, AAA will run out of TV around 01/21, I’m guessing the show is back in Mexico City, and Mexico City shows are usually Fridays, so there’s the guess. Could be completely wrong.
+Lucha put up LA Park vs Masada from this past week’s Lucha Libre Boom show. This is very likely not my jam but maybe you’ll dig it.
DTU is offering a bus trip to Pachuca for their anniversary show. Those who go get a second row seat and a ride back and forth for $400 pesos ($20USD.)
AAA put up a Latin Lover, Sergio Rojo Jr., and Antifaz vs Jerry Estrada, Sanguinario, and Arandu from June 15, 1996, on one of the TripleManias that year. It’s a match that wasn’t known to have aired before; if it did, it wasn’t recorded on any of the tapes that were floating around.
CultIcon and TKD review this week’s Lucha Underground, and TKD also has his recap for last week’s show up.
