Recapped: 11/12/2016
What happened: Último Guerrero beat Rush cleanly in a singles match. That’s about it. People got dragged to hell too, I guess.
What was good: The main event was better than the previous meeting. I liked the opener and that doesn’t happen often with CMLL.
Where can I watch it: It’s on CMLL’s channel.
This is a special Sunday airing of the normally aired show for Dia de Muertos. Announcers are Roberto Lopez Olivera, Leobardo Magadan and Julio Cesar Rivera.

Match Time: 12:17
Notes: Acero’s pants say Niño de Acero on them. He hasn’t been Niño de Acero since 2012. Stukita’s wearing a half mask, with the non-Stuka mask looking like Ministro de la Muerte.
Review: [good] a much more active and exciting match than we get on other days. This is not the greatest group of minis, but they seemed free to have a much more entertaining matches than normal. Acero was even somewhat interesting. No faults with the match either, just a solid outing.
Match 2: Blue Panther Jr., Guerrero Maya Jr., The Panther vs Misterioso Jr., Morphosis, Tiger

Match Time: 12:06
Review: [ok] an energetic and loud crowd drove this match to being more intense than it normally would be; they weren’t doing so much special as they were getting a great reaction from the crowd. However, the boost dropkick spot with the Panthers was the worst one of those I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s just one spot, they did other stuff, some of it was quite good, but that was so bad they should’ve just gone home right then. I can’t approve of a match with something so bad. Tiger sneaking up on The Panther and nailing him with backcracker as he tried to apply a hold was much better.
Match 3: La Jarochita, Lluvia, Silueta vs Dalys, Tiffany, Zeuxis

- Silueta La Roca Sileuta (2;38)
Winner: tecnicas (1/3)
Match Time: 10:55
Notes: Matches from here on out are on Dia del Muertos themes. Dalys is back as the evil god, with a disguised Ultimo Guerrero and Rush standing up there with her. Tiffany’s death costume is well done. Zeuxis has a half mask too.
Review: [ok] They tried a lot, some of it didn’t come off well, and the tecnicas seemed not to be hitting too hard. Breaking up a careta with missile dropkicks is at least a second idea instead of Mistico headscissors all day. Right team won, even with Tiffany not adding much.
A dance number appears to be cut off the internet broadcast here.
Match 4: Carístico, Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone vs Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Terrible

Notes: not rated, but this was exactly the OK match you would expect.
Another edited out dance number follows; they stick with the feed just long enough for us to see the dancers getting into position, and then come back to show them at their end positions.
Match 5: Rush vs Último Guerrero
Arena México, 10/30/2016
Video: VideosOficialesCMLL
- Rush corner dropkick (2:17)
- Último Guerrero delayed suplex (3:28)
- Último Guerrero Pulpo Guerrero (5:28)
Winner: Último Guerrero
Match Time: 11:13
Notes: Rush and UG do their full entrances, even though they’ve been standing on the stage the whole night. Rush attacks UG in the aisle. Rush made friends with the Guardians as they escorted him to Hell.
Review: [good] The crowd again made a difference, making a match that didn’t have much to it than normal feel a lot bigger than that. Both men made everything look good – UG’s made a very safe catch on Rush’s dive – and they hit each other very hard, even with no particular story to it. This was lacking in a moment where Rush came close to winning and it didn’t have enough other drama to make up for that, but it was better than the other recent match.
