IWRG (SUN) 10/23/2016 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Adrenalina b Máscara De Ángel
2) Araña de Plata & Skanda b Black Dragón & Cadilac
3) Dragón Fly, Emperador Azteca, Hijo del Alebrije DQ Demonio Infernal, Picudo Jr., Violencia Jr.
straight falls with fouls in the second. Alebrije made challenges for the 11/02 Castillo del Terror.
4) Killer Jr., Negro Navarro, Trauma I b Danny Casas, Pantera I, Zatura
5) El Hijo del Diablo b Black Terry [hair]
Diablo jumped Terry but Terry still rallied to take fall 1. Diablo took fall two, then won the hair match via martiente when the ref was taken out.
6) Imposible © b Heddi Karaoui [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
second defense. Karaoui replaced Trauma II. +LuchaTV says Trauma II missed due to injury, the Gladiadores says it was due to personal issues.
Top 4 matches aired last night, but the AYM feed was barely working. It’ll air on TV on AYM and LAS over the next week. Hair match sounds worth checking out.
CMLL (SUN) 10/23/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) Johnny Dinamo b El Diplomático
Tecnicos took 1/3
2) Mr. Brisa & Relámpago b Cosmos & El Alteño
Rudos took 1/3.
3) El Divino, Sky Kid, Smaker b Demonio Rojo, Gran Kenut, Thunder Boy
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Évola b El Yaqui
Evola took 1/3, cleanly. Sets up a hair match next week.
5) Joker, Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno b Metatrón, Nautilius, Neutrón
Rudos took 2/3
Evola’s won all the matches leading up to the hair match, which usually means one outcome.
CMLL (MON) 10/24/2016 Arena Puebla [+LuchaTV, R de Rudo]

Black Tiger replaced Zaeta Roja.

5) Euforia, Gran Guerrero, La Máscara b Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr.
straight falls, leading to a trios title match.
I haven’t watched this yet and reports from people who watched it live suggested I probably shouldn’t bother. It was a quick show (1h45m) and none of the matches were particularly good and some where not good. Going for a random trios title match instead of Casas/Atlantis is disappointing. I think maybe we’ve reached the point where they’re just not going to do occasional Casas matches; a scheduled Casas/Arandu match in Tijuana this weekend suddenly became an Casas/Arandu/Maximo match instead.
Tonight’s CMLL Arena Mexico card has a Mascara Dorada, Mistico and Diamante Azul against Mephisto, Ephesto, Luciferno trios main event. The CMLL preview pushes it as a Dorada/Mephisto direct issue, though a trios title match would make more sense (as they already have a singles match next week and why is Luciferno even here if not for the trios titles.)
The semimain is a little less certain. It’s a cibernetico for a shot at Rey Bucanero’s NWA Light Heavyweight Championship. The 12 people involved are Atlantis, La Máscara, Valiente, Gran Guerrero, Johnny Idol, Vangellys, Stuka Jr., Bobby Z, Blue Panther Jr., Hechicero, Esfinge, and Misterioso. It’d make most sense for the winner to be a tecnico challenger, and someone who’s not otherwise getting a big match or isn’t already a champion, which would cut the list due to Johnny Idol and Stuka Junior. However, CMLL introduced Hechicero as the spokesperson for the Dia de Muertos shows, and he’s not even been on any of the announced lineups yet. There’s an outside chance he might get his chance here.
The tercera has Drone, Guerrero Maya (sub for Rey Cometa) and the Panther versus Kraneo, Ripper and Polvora. The second match is a women’s match with Princesa Sugehit, Lluvia, Skadi versus Tiffany, La Comandante, and Seductora – you may want to watch that with your hands in front of your eyes. Shockercito & Ultimo Dragoncito versus Pequeno Olimpico & Pequeno Nitro is the opener. That’s the third time we’ve seen that rudo team in six weeks.
The show airs at 7:30pm CT on CMLL.com/YouTube. I’m pretty low on the first two matches, but would probably try to watch this one live if there weren’t other things going on.
AAA posted the 2010 Heroes Inmortales show. The idea is to post the full versions of the shows highlighted in AAA’s weekly AAA Clasico segment.
EMW has an AAA spot show in Tijuana on Friday, with Texano defending the heavyweight title against Mesias and Pentagon. The problem is Pentagon is working the main event on the AAA TV taping the same night. They’ll probably just make that a singles match (and maybe Fantasma/Angelico is a singles without Jack?) The Tijuana show has a Team Trump of Hernandez, Nicho and Famous B. That’s amazing.
The 11/20 Ciudad Juarez show is being promoted locally as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero. Last year’s taping was promoted as a Rey Mysterio Jr. tribute.
The 10/23 Arena Jose Sulaiman (Monterrey) show had the Santos versus Silver Kings match that’s going around venues in the country. Attendance didn’t seem great (though that building’s had worse for ‘big’ shows.) Finish was Silver King coming in and attacking Hijo del Santo, because Hijo del Santo had earlier demanded Super Parka unmask since Santo had long ago beaten him for the mask. The problem with that is Santo also beat Silver King for his mask long ago, and Silver King just wrestled in his mask without issue. Anyway, they seemed to be teasing Santo/Parka in a hair match.

Diamond Stars Wrestling (Japan) has a REINA-CMLL International (Women’s) Champion versus NWA Women’s Championship match where they’re pushing there will be no draws and someone will end up with both belts. Neither person is all that lucha related, but there’s a decent chance this is the end of the REINA-CMLL belt and I’m always happy when a CMLL belt might go away. (If it doesn’t, it would probably mean the NWA is the possession of a CMLL title.)
Lineups
IWRG (WED) 10/26/2016 Arena Naucalpan
1) Bambino & Último Caballero vs Canario & Fly Tiger
2) Lilith Dark, Omega, Voltar vs Bomberita, Charly Boy, Oficialito
3) Fireman, Keiser Drago, Shadow Boy vs Cadillac, Keshin Black, Kira
4) Leo, Mike, Teelo vs Bombero Infernal, Picudo Jr., Skanda

Gym FILL (Black Terry) vs Gym Arena 2 de Junio (Tony Cirio)
I added this to the database a few days ago but it didn’t make it here. The unexpect Cirios appearance on the regular card look like they were a setup to this match.
CMLL (MON) 10/31/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Arkalis, Meyer, Zaeta Roja vs El Malayo, Espíritu Maligno, Policeman
2) Black Tiger, Flyer, Lestat vs Cancerbero, King Jaguar, Raziel
3) Blue Panther, Blue Panther Jr., The Panther vs Misterioso Jr., Okumura, Sagrado
4) Máximo Sexy, Pierroth, Rush vs Marco Corleone, Shocker, Vangellys [Relevos Increíbles]
5) Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. © vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, La Máscara [CMLL TRIOS]
8th defense
The Sky Team defend against random challengers, in a defense which would tie the (known) record number of trios title defense. I could swear we just saw the fourth match, only with Ultimo Guerrero in there. Third match will have weird finishes. Second match has the latest return of Lestat, who hasn’t been around since December and only been listed a few times on Puebla indie matches.
