Tonight’s Arena Puebla show is headlined by Shocker & Negro Casas defending the tag team titles against Volador & Mistico. The tecnicos are among the biggest stars in the promotion and would be considered favorites if CMLL Universal tournament math didn’t overrule all. Volador versus Casas and Mistico versus Casas sound like good match ups, it’s Shocker who’s most the question mark.
The semifinal is another relevos increibles trios, with Marco, Rey Escorpion and Rush taking on Matt Taven, Maximo Sexy and Ultimo Guerrero, with Rush & Taven meeting before their singles match on Friday.
The fourth match has the almost-Revolucionarios facing Angel de Oro, Dragon Lee and Titan. Rojo has been trying to start an argument with Lee over who’s the best Dragon in CMLL on Twitter and Lee has said they’d settle it in the ring. The Dinamita brothers team with Sangre Azteca take on Hombre Bala, Magnus and Robin. The Batillon del Muerte face Meyer & Tigre Rojo, and Centella Roja & Paris face Espiritu Maligno & Guerrero Espacial in the opener.
CultIcon previews this show. The show airs at the usual time of 9pm CT on CMLL/YouTube. I’m probably not going to be able to do a recap but may watch part of the show sometime later.
Black Terry Jr. has photos from last night’s IWRG show.
Caristico won Michinoku Pro’s Masked World League. He defeated Cuba’s Revolucion in the final, who unmasked to reveal he was actually Dick Togo.
La Parka, Aerostar and Discovery beat Hijo del Fantasma, Pentagon and Drago in Cicero.
MLW has launched their new LuchaTalk podcast with Alfredo from LuchaWorld, LigerFever and DylanZero.
WWC announced Alberto el Patron will main event their anniversary show on 10/15, facing Ray Gonzalez in a steel cage match. They were feuding before Alberto went to the WWE (with Alberto going back to Puerto Rico to wrestle once even after he had started with WWE, and Hijo de Dos Caras being used in his place for a short time.) Arkangel took the loss in both his WWC matches over the weekend, while Reina Isis won a mixed tag with Tommy Diablo and lost a singles match to Vanilla Vargas.
Super Libre had Mascara Dorada talking about his WWE status (still not signed, magically) and Satanico talking about wrestling in Arena Mexico.
An article about the 10/19 AAA show in San Luis Potosi lists Jessica & Freddy Alvarez as the local promoters.

Dos Caras war: while Alberto main events in Arena Monterrey, the rest of his family will be main eventing in Arena Coliseo Monterrey. They’ll probably have a nice dinner later. This is a loaded card to run against Heroes Inmortales.
